Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Texas

I'm sorry but I need to say this now. I have never been so dissapointed with the franchise till last night. My parents went to purchase food from there on 7/11/19 after 9:30ish last night. My mother had found a coupon on her phone that she wanted to use just like every time that we've gone to purchase. Well they are greeted with a "sorry but that coupon is not valid at our store. It has to be from our store and you need to download our official app for coupons". Ok, fair enough. My parents download the app and show you a coupon from there. What do they get told? "We can't accept the coupon because its not from here. You have to be able to redeem the coupon". I'm sorry but what!? My parents had followed YOUR instructions to get a coupon that YOU said they needed to get with no other kind of explanation? I personally checked the coupons myself and none said that they had to be used at a specific location or anything. If you ran out of chicken last night or just didn't want to make more then just say it and don't be trying to hide with such a lame excuse! I'm sorry but that just really...

HORRIBLE customer service. Lady helping at the drive thru window with short hair and a hurt arm was very rude. Didn't give me my complete order and when I told her I was missing things it was like a HUGE bother for her. Also, I had asked for 8 bombers and she gave me 4 and ok, I get it, Accidents and misunderstanding happen. When I told her she had my order wrong instead of fixing my order and charging me the difference, she was just VERY defensive saying she had repeated the order and that's what I had asked for when I didn't. Like I said, this could have been fixed and I would've gladly paid the difference but instead no solution was offered and she was just very rude about it. Nobody is FORCED to work at a place they don't enjoy, hopefully the customer service at this location gets looked at and action is taken to be better. If you don't like what you do, then maybe a different job would be best fitted...

Not only did they change their name, apparently they've changed their standard of chicken. I use to be able to go into any church's and they would have fresh or at least close to fresh chicken. I'm only writing this not so good review because it's now more than twice that I've gotten subpar chicken; and not just from this location. It was so greasy I had to wrap it in paper towels just to make it not so bad. I almost think it was refried. Besides the greasiness making me believe it was recooked, the chicken itself was dry,overcooked, old. Next, the pieces were small, they use to be big, that's why everyone liked going to church's. Finally about my experience, the attitude. This and another location, the employees are or seem nice, but there is a sense of attitude behind their voices; like they really don't want to be there...
