My husband and I stumbled upon this place by accident when the Mexican restaurant we were going to go to felt the need to close at 10pm on a Saturday night. Less than a mile down the road, we saw that Comala was open and definitely still serving food! There were approx 6 other tables where people were eating and the only server working came right over with menus and chips & salsa and took our drink order. We decided to get two different dinners and split them, so we could each sample more of their food. He got this awesome fajita plate that had grilled onions and bell peppers, but also had this amazing citrus cilantro lime marinade type drizzle on it. And, it had a side of crunchy slaw to go on the fajita. Omg, it was amazing! I got the chicken flautas. I'm used to getting 3, but here they give 4. There were nice fresh slices of avocados on top, with crunchy lettuce, sour cream, and a little salsa. Plus, some pico to add some pizazz! Needless to say, by the time we were done, we were stuffed! Read moreInaccurate huevos ranchero plates served with menu info not listing proper food call out. Requested additional barbaco for the huevos ranchero plate for a $3.75 charge! Quantity of barbaco brought was less than a taco portion. So requested a half pound serving which was only $4.75 to get a decent serving. Barbaco was a little greasy! The barbaco request took a long time to be served! How long does it take to serve one half pound of barbaco that was probably just sitting in a pan in the kitchen! The huevos ranchero plate lacked the sauted onions that menu reflected! The large size diced potatoes came with a red sauce which not reflected in the menu. Requested picante fried potatoes to replace, but got French fries for the order! Service was slow. Definitely not recommending this restaurant for breakfast! I should of took...
Read moreGood food but waitress with short hair is kinda rude. I also called today, they wanted to charge me 1.75 for potatoes in my chilaquiles just because it was past 11 am. When I've ordered there for breakfast they only put like 5 small potato pieces, i don't want to pay extra just for that. My cousin owns her own restaurant and she says that buisness is buisness and if the client wants breakfast after 12, she makes sure they get breakfast period. Well I said, no thank you im not ordering anything, I was very polite and the lady on the phone got mad because I, the client decided not to order, and she hung up on me while I was still talking. I would not run a restaurant business like that, that's how one...
