Denny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Texas

Soooooo my dad and I decided to come eat breakfast at Dennys something we hadn’t done in a very long time, we arrive and it’s packed but not the point where you can find any seating at all. We got seating within 5 mins and our waiter comes and takes our order which was just 2 coffees and our breakfast plates which was a breakfast sandwich and a lumberjack slam. Our waiter puts our order in and first the coffee takes more than 15 mins to be served to us. Our waiter warns us, “the kitchen is a bit backed up so the food might take a while.” So us being the understanding people we are, we’re okay with it because maybe it might be a 25-30 min wait either way it’s only two orders. Nope…. We were incredibly wrong a whole hour and 15 mins go by we have no update on our order we had only just been served that one cup of coffee within that hour and nothing else. We ended up leaving and just telling the receptionist to just charge us for the coffee because we had been waiting for more than an hour for our food. Mind you parties of 5 or more who arrived way after us ended up getting their orders way before we did. Soooo never again with this restaurant two orders by itself doesn’t take more than a whole...

Worst experience in past year. We came in at 12:45 and there were plenty of tables available. We were seated in a booth. Several minutes passed before anyone came to our table. Since we waited so long initially for a waiter, we went ahead and placed our drink order and our meals at the same time. My wife ordered a salad and I ordered country fried steak. We asked for onions to be added to our salads. it was another 10 minutes before our water showed up at the table. When the meals came 20 minutes later, there were no and they had added bacon and chicken to my wife's salad. rather than allow our waitress to take the salad back to remove the chicken we kept it because I didn't want to leave my sight at this point. When we received the check there were $3 added to the salad for the chicken and seventy-nine cents on each of our salads for a few diced onions that we had to ask for to be brought back to our table. Overall just a very poor experience. Our waitress Kate was pleasant but not very organized. Let me add that in the middle of eating our meal they began to mop the floor with a strong disinfectant right down our row. It was so strong that it made you...

My wife and I were with family and friends (group of 8) and decided to grab some breakfast after a night out. We arrived around 2:30am and were provided a table near the main entrance. 15 minutes into our visit we were yet to be attended too. By this point our drink orders should of been in. With only a handful of customers at that time I couldn't understand why we weren't provided any service. We decided to leave and drive a few blocks down to IHOP. None of the staff attempted to ask why we were leaving or even apologizing for the wait. Not the service we are accustomed too at most Denny's. A member of our party mentioned prior to us arriving that the service at this particular location was subpar to say the least. We chalked it up to maybe a one time bad experience and decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, the statement was on point. Whether it's 2:30pm or 2:30am service is service.
