UPDATE: Thank you, Ulises, for the fast response. I am sure that if you had been there, this would not have ever happened. We've met, and you have always treated us with respect and kindness. My son was heartened by your response, and we might be able to talk him into coming by again. You should have my contact info in your customer database already, so feel free to drop me a line. I'd love to come to a resolution, so we can come back. I think you guys normally have some of the best food and friendliest staff (Roman) in the area. Eden Cafe used to be one of my family's favorite restaurants. I wouldn't say I was a regular, but we would go about once a month. We first started noticing problems shortly after their front of house manager moved on to greener pastures. He was one of the best managers of any restaurant I have ever seen. First it was little things like broken sauces or the wrong side. Nothing worth raising a fuss about. Then it was slightly more noticeable things like a rude waitress (and no comment card offered with the check), or malfunctioning faucet in the restroom. Off-putting, but forgivable. Everybody has bad days, and things break down. Before I go into why I'm leaving a one-star review, I need to explain one very important factor in deciding where I eat. My son has severe food allergies. Not lactose-intolerance, not I-saw-this-great-new-diet-on-Dr.-Oz BS. A real hives-inducing, vomit if we're lucky, airway closure if we're not, allergy. Dairy and peanuts are the main ones. Peanuts is normally easy to weed out, but dairy is insidious. Anyway, we always order pasta with red sauce and grilled chicken, and it's always delicious. This weekend we ordered a meal to go. We never get meatballs, because we were informed theirs have milk in them. I arrived, and my order was ready right on time. I always double check my son's food, since it's a pain to have to drive back. I noticed there was a meatball on the pasta. No good. So I waited for them to remake it with chicken. No big deal, mistakes happen. This is where things started to get wonky. They charged me an extra $1.07 for the chicken. I get it: it's a protein. But when somebody has to wait an extra few minutes for their to-go order, that seems a little strange. Whatever. I pay it. We get home, and as I plate my son's pasta, I notice some strange cubes in it. I taste one, and lo and behold, it's the meatball! Not only did they not remake the pasta, as you really need to do when somebody has an allergy, they INTENTIONALLY hid the fact by dicing up the meatball. Had I been a little less vigilant, my son could have been severely injured. I don't know if it was stupidity, incompetence, laziness, or cruelty, but it was entirely unacceptable. I was too livid to go back to get the order corrected, so my wife went back instead. When she got there, the manager didn't seem to empathize with our problem at all. No acknowledgement with the severity of the problem, or any attempt to make things right, aside from re-making the meal. By this time my son was too paranoid to enjoy eating the food from there. And there's no way we'll be able to convince him it's safe to try again. It's sad, because we really loved this restaurant. Hopefully they'll do some soul-searching and get their service back up to the levels we were...

An establishment that represents the heart of The Woodlands-Magnolia. The service here is warm & friendly, the venue has old fashioned charm, and the food is superb. We dined here for the first time last weekend, and we were all very impressed.
The venue has plenty of seating, decorated with a farmhouse theme, and the scripture on the walls were an inviting touch. We had a large group, so they offered us a comfy long table in the private dining room. We were seated immediately and greeted by our sweet server, "Alma." She did a stellar job attending to our party of 8 on a very busy Friday night, was enthusiastic & knowledgable with the menu, and highlighted the drink specials and seasonal items.
I'll be honest, we were skeptical. The former Eden's Cafe was a locally hyped up restaurant, and with the re-branding to Eden Table we were worried things would be lost in translation. And, at first glance the dinner menu seemed pretty basic... The pictures didn't do much justice of visually enticing me, and many options were too similar to food offered at other restaurants. However, this was a good lesson to not judge a book by its cover!!!
The food was soooo good!!! Fresh, high quality ingredients, and ridiculously tasty! I think everyone practically licked their plates clean. Our family has some picky eaters, but there wasn't a single complaint about the appetizers, entrees, or desserts we devoured.
My husband said their off-the-menu Almond Crusted Redfish with Crab Topping was some of the best fish he's ever had. My Shrimp & Grits plate was rich & decadent, and the side of Brussels Sprouts with Bacon was on par with top tier steakhouses. And, we finished our meal with a Brûléed Cheescake that I'm dreaming about having again.
Phenomenal meal, wonderful service, outstanding experience. Thank you, Eden! We will...

Eden Cafe was a fairly random choice for us this evening. We were driving home from our son's wedding when my wife asked to have dinner someplace where we wouldn't usually dine since we were in the area.
Of course, the food was outstanding —everything seemed to be on the menu because there was something special about it.
The atmosphere was refreshing — cozy layout, relaxing music, not too loud — we could hear one another and enjoy our conversation.
Our waitress, Alex, was cheery and attentive. What's more, she was "normal" ~ that's a genuine compliment these days. Not the nose-ringed, purple hair type — simply a pleasant young lady who seemed to actually enjoy her work and their guests.
She must have mentioned to the owner, Ulises, that it was our first visit because he showed up and introduced himself and engaged us in thoughtful conversation.
Finally, to my embarrassment, I tipped over my water glass. A watchful lady busing tables was at our feet in a moment fixing the mess I made. Her simple action made an already great experience * unforgettable * !
Yes, the dinner was good, but I'd say there was more. Most of all, we were SERVED ... from the manager to the wonderful lady busing tables — we were * SERVED *...
