Not sure if they are trying to figure out the flow, but 2nd trip today and maybe I'll give them time to get their Zen lines up. 1st trip a walk in for some cream cheese. Lots of people inside doing very little. Visiting, sucking on drinks. I should have been in and out in 5 mins. There was only one other guy in the store placing a to go order.
Today, 2/23/24 three to go bagel sandwiches. One was "OK" the other two, the egg, avocado, spinach on everything. Tasted like nothing.
They were first off, thrown into the paper wrapping like they fell off a truck. Got them home and the entire sandwiches were apart. Presentation gets a score of 2 stars.
The bagel itself was hard, as in stale with zero taste. The egg wasn't warm, and everything else looked just plopped atop everything else.
Took way too long to get them. The store wasn't busy at all inside, and we were the only ones in the store.
Like I said, Einstein Bros. Used to be a quality place with quality bagels and sandwiches. I will lay low a few weeks and maybe give them a try after they get squared away and the awkwardness of the newness wears off.
Today's visit, I believe I could make a better breakfast sandwich with the bagels in the plastic bag from Walmart and ingredients from my own fridge.
Was excited when I saw the sign come up. Now, not so much. Get the flow, speed, presentation and ingredients together. Right now, you're missing the mark.
Just checked the other reviews after posting mine. Seems like there is a common denominator of concern by some customers. Quality. Attentiveness. Presentation/Plating.
I have to say as a customer, I was concerned when I read the one post about the nonsense going on at the back of the house as well as day old plus product placed in the case as "fresh."
I wonder how someone would have that type of information, if they were not a past or current team member?
Sounds to me some outside training and intervention may be the fix. Don't know if this is a franchise or corporate location. But someone has invested capital to make it work and it's not firing on all cylinders.

The counter staff was courteous and helpful enough. When I ordered the bagel, the cashier asked if I wanted it toasted. I asked him if they were fresh, and he said “yes”! I prefer fresh bagels, not toasted. I got my bagel order right away and went back into the car because there was no place to sit. I took my first bite, and I was so disappointed! if I was not in a hurry, I would’ve gone back into the shop and requested a true, fresh bagel. I could’ve been eating a better bagel from Kroger. And it would’ve been a lot cheaper! The bagel absolutely did NOT taste fresh. The inside was very dense and not at all chewy, which is, in my 60 years experience of eating delicious bagels, not the expectation I have of a good bagel! Plus, these bagels cost more and are smaller! What’s up with this? Did not taste like the Einstein Bagel I have enjoyed in the past. PLUS, I tried to do the online survey but I had forgotten my password and requested a new one which should have been sent to my email address. During my initial visit, the team seemed to be finding their rhythm, as things were a little disorganized. However, my most recent experience was outstanding. A new manager was on duty, who coordinated the staff with remarkable efficiency. Despite having fewer employees on the floor, the entire operation ran smoothly and flawlessly. The manager carefully double-checked each order with the team to ensure everything was correct. They packaged my order perfectly and even included all the necessary utensils and plates for our group.
