We were today SATURDAY (a very busy day in this restaurant) so we know that we must reserve a table in advance. We called at 7:00 pm and they told us that at 9 they would give us the tables. We arrived at 8:00 pm to arrive on time and thus be ready for our table in advance. We reconfirmed the reservation as soon as we entered and they repeated that at 9 they had a table for us. We patiently waited, it should be noted that we were a group of 10 people, therefore we knew that we had to be patient. After 30 min a double table vacates and I tell the guys that if there was no availability for us at the table. And they tell me yes, they go to clean it and Mr. Enrique, the manager of the place, arrives and tells us no, that table was already waiting for someone PERFECT. He vacates next to the same other large table and I say ok give me the one next to it and he arrogantly repeats that if I had a reservation and I said yes. That we had called since 7 pm, that we arrived an hour before and we had already waited 30 minutes. And he tells me that I should wait 1 hour 50 min and I tell him ok now from 7 pm to 8 pm it's an hour and I've been waiting 30 min more. And he tells me no that I still had to wait 50 min. Having a 2-month-old baby in my hands, giving her a bottle in her face, not even out of chivalry was it kind to me. And it bothered me. How I have 30 min waiting when you tell me that I should wait 1 hour and after the time they send me to wait 1 more hour. And he got rude that I had to wait, period. That he didn't know why they told me that. Oh, I tell you, the girl you have serving your customers is very kind, by the way, she told us the instructions to wait for us for an hour and she even less praises the staff, saying that they don't know what they're doing and they shouldn't have told me that. (which makes me upset and I tell her: then you shouldn't have her to serve the public if she doesn't know what she's doing) It seems absurd to me that she undervalues her when she is patiently giving her best to serve more than 50 people simultaneously waiting for a table. 10 minutes passed and she placed us at a table diagonal to the bar. Which we were super tight. With the baby carriage crossed for the people who wanted to pass. in 30 min sitting still without our food both tables that were previously vacated were still unoccupied. And we kindly ask her again to ask her to place us there and she tells us that those tables were waiting for a party reservation. We were there from 8:00 pm to more than 11 pm and the tables were never occupied. The point of all this is that you stop perceiving good customers who, being present, will spend on good food and will be in the SAFE place for being unfriendly, rude and bad blood. For the simple fact of not giving ourselves the pleasure of sitting there. I don't know if it was a strategy to clean the area and leave early or for going against me so as not to give it to me. His attention is super bad, more so being the leader of the place. I add a photo with the time so you can see that I am not lying to you. So if you want to go to this place on a weekend with a large family group, be prepared to wait more than 2 hours for a table and still not guarantee a continuous...
Read moreTexas Roadhouse has completely raised the standard of expectation for restaurants for me. We were given a gift card for Roadhouse and decided to go out there for our dinner. From The moment we walked into Those double doors of the Texas Roadhouse, The service was impeccable. Starting with the host, we were sat right away, and given a booth when we requested one. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by the server within 2 minutes. The server was awesome!! She was very funny, and extremely patient. We told her that it was our first time to Texas Roadhouse. She explained the entire menu, and even offered to bring us samples of different lemonades. She made sure our drinks were full the whole dinner. She also pre-bussed our table the whole dinner as well. Once she knew that we were newbies she told her manager. That manager came to our table directly and explained their concept to us, and also brought us a goodie bag full of salted peanuts and a coupon. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. Now moving on to food. The rolls that are given complementary are AMAZING!!! The taste superb and are accompanied with a sweet honey cinnamon butter. We ordered a blossom as an appetizer and it was hot and fresh. Each pedal of this gigantic onion were perfectly seperate and each fried to perfection. It was crispy and the onions were cooked. The breading on the onions were not soggy or overly oily. We each ordered the 20oz bone in ribeyes. We each also added a half rack of fall off the bone ribs. (We figured, go all out or go home) I had requested A1 sauce to dip my steak into, but it was 100% unneeded. The flavor of the steak was out of this world. And as a frequent flyer to Outback and other steakhouses, including my own kitchen, there was no comparison between the steaks. Roadhouse steak was by far superior to its other competitor's. I didn't need the A1, and barely needed a knife. I can still taste the char from the flames of their grill with that perfect seasoning blend they have created. My only complaint was that my stomach was unfortuanalty too small to finish all 20oz of mouth watering protein. However, I did get two more meals out of my.left overs. The ribs stood strong by their name and fell delicately off the bones. Topped with a perfect housemade bbq sauce. We were too full to order desert but I am pretty sure that our sweet tooth would have satisfied by the strawberry cheesecake that looked so good. I am very rarely this pleased with my first impression, and never say that it surpasses even my own kitchen. But, the Texas Roadhouse has 100% outdone themselves, AND have gained 2 very happy regulars. We will be back, and we will be very hungry for some more...
Read moreI’m not usually one to write reviews, but I felt like I needed to share my experience from today because it really made me uncomfortable. Everything was fine during my visit, but things took a weird turn at the end. After dinner, I went to the restroom, and one of the managers came in and stood right in front of my stall. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but then I realized she was letting customers go ahead of her. I was on my phone, and when I went to put it away, I looked up and saw her staring through the small gap in the door. That immediately made me feel uneasy, and I tried not to move in front of it again since she was right there.
Then, I heard her telling another customer they could go ahead because she was waiting for an employee and thought they were in the stall. From where I was sitting, it sounded like she was talking about me, and it made me feel super uncomfortable like she wasn’t going to leave until I came out. When I finally got out, I made eye contact with her, and she quickly went into one of the other stalls.
I asked to speak with a manager, and it turned out to be her. I politely asked if she thought I was an employee because I heard what she said and saw her looking into my stall. She explained she was referring to the handicapped stall and mentioned there had been problems with employees slacking off in the restroom. I totally get that, but she admitted that she looked into my stall, and when I noticed, she moved to the side. I’m not 100% sure if she actually moved aside, but when I slightly glanced back at the opening to see if she was still there, it didn’t seem like she did. Honestly, it’s hard for me to believe she was talking about the larger stall, since as soon as I came out, she darted straight into a stall herself instead of continuing to wait outside the bigger one.
I understand the need to make sure employees aren’t hanging out in the restroom, but I really think it could have been handled differently. Maybe standing by the sinks or somewhere less intrusive would’ve been better. The restroom is supposed to be a private space, and having a manager looking into my stall just didn’t sit right with me. I do appreciate the apology, but I’m not sure if I’d want to come back after feeling so...
