I am a regular customer here now without a doubt. The Fajitas a la Diabla are exceptional. Living in Spring, but even when working in the downtown area and having friends in the heights area, I have brought this food down/made detours to get it -- I have personally brought over the Fajitas down to the I-10/Shepard area (40 min drive or so) for friends and the Fajitas still taste awesome! :D
Better than Lupe Tortillas Fajitas (those are amazing, especially with that lime marinade), but that a la Diabla spicy sauce with the Grab N Go tacos' Fajitas is on point at literally a 60% less price point. Definitely destroys El Tiempo's food, which was dethroned by Lupe's Fajitas.
Would rate it 4.5 stars as it could be a little cheaper for the area (but by no means is it expensive; very comparable/fair considering Torchy's or Velvet Taco's prices).
I am pleasantly surprised by the food here. My favorites (and only ones I've tried) are the numbers 10 and 11.
All three sit down visits have been good overall. The food was amazing, perhaps the best marinated carne asada I've had in a long time.
Why isn't it five out of five stars?
Many sodas were nonoperational, even after spacing out my visits! Fix them please! They're brand of sodas they use are actually amazing (when working).
Not the best salsas that comes with the chips; the guacamole-based one is solid but the red salsa could be improved substantially.
The food, while amazing on their own, is a little pricey at $13 for #10/11. Not terribly overpriced; could be a little cheaper. Once again, best tacos I've had in a long time (better, yet different, from velvet taco, taco a go go, even Torchys and I love Torchys, etc)
Bottom line: best traditional tacos in Spring by far that warrants a sit down experience.
P.S. - the establishment name is semi-misleading, the queso is apparently out of this world, and the #10 spicy sauce does...
Read moreReally great food however I will never return here as I feel as they have some very dishonest employees here. So I lost my credit card a few weeks ago but figured I misplaced it at home as there were no charges on there. However I eventually learned that I had left my card at this establishment. Now I take full responsibility for being so absent minded and leaving my personal property however this still does not mean that I deserved to be done this way. So anyway I worked in restaurants before and usually when I card is left we would either turn it into a manager who would hold the card untill the person calls or cut it up as not to be liable for anyone's card information. However instead of either giving it to a manager like any other respectable business or cutting it up. I get hit with a charge from my credit card company of $. 01 that originated from this restaraunt. Since they don't have anything on the menu for $0.01 I'm sure it was the cashier or someone who wanted to swipe my card to see if it would go through. Because right after the 0.01 charge was made my card was swiped for over 400.00 at a nearby paintball store. Of course my credit card company refunded me my money but to know that if I accidentally leave anything at this establishment that I have to worry about criminal waitresses and cooks it's just not worth the great tasting tacos. I know that karma will eventually catch up to whomever thought it was a good idea to use my card. Hope it was...
Read moreAlright, let’s set the scene. It’s 1,000 degrees outside. Texas is trying to kill you with heat, your shirt’s sticking to your back, and you’re one wrong turn away from turning into a sun-dried tomato. You don’t want a five-star dining experience with a wait time longer than a Marvel post-credits tease. You want food. Now. And you want it to slap.
Grab N Go Tacos is that glorious oasis. A fast, fresh, fine-tuned taco operation run like it’s feeding a team of Avengers between battles. First up—the chips and salsa. Let me put it this way: I’d launch a rescue mission just to bring back another bag. Salsa that sings, chips that crunch like applause. You could hand me a bag of that and call it a day. But we’re just getting started. Now let’s talk tacos and quesadillas—melty, meaty, and magnificently cheesy.
The kind of meal that makes you sit back, contemplate life, and then immediately plan your next visit. Each bite delivers a precision strike of flavor that could inspire a national holiday. And the colors? Red, green, and white—maybe it's the Italian in me, but that's a power trio no one should mess with. (You know who you are, cilantro-haters.)
But wait—the best part? The price. You get hero-level flavor without the billionaire bank account. It’s the kind of deal that makes you feel like you’ve been rescued.
(So yeah… in my best Arnold voice: “I’ll be back.”...
