I booked an AirBnB for Become a Barista at a coffee shop for noon today. Yesterday, we asked if it were possible to get a refund due to very heavy rain. The host said that this happens all the time, and basically "no" because it was 30 minutes past the refund window. We ended up coming to Houston late last night, and I messaged them to let them know we'll be here at the prescribed reservation time of noon. We got here, and the business is closed. The host/owners did not message me or even have a sign posted of their closure. This is a horrible business practice, and if I could give zero stars, I would. I'm definitely speaking with AirBnB for the refund. Update: AirBnB Support contacted the owners, and they were unwilling to refund us even though we traveled to make it here, and they were closed! Luckily, Support processed the refund, and we received it. Horrible business.

This is a small, cozy place. As pictured, their drink menu is pretty small and prices are pretty much on-par with Starbucks. The beans that use are Italian, so that's a plus. It tastes really good and it's really smooth. If you if you get a drink to stay, they will serve it to you in a glass mug. Otherwise you'll get it in a traditional to-go cup with lid and a sleeve. The Barista, Joey, seems to know what he's doing, however whoever the Indian lady is that works in the afternoons doesn't seem to have it all together. I took off one star because everybody that works there should know how to make every drink on the menu. I could not get the drink I wanted because she did not know where everything was to make it, even though I had the exact same drink the day before when she was not there.

I highly recommend this family owned coffee shop! It tasted delicious and the location is a beautiful art studio. I will highly recommend this coffee shop for its amazing customer service from the owner. The incredible safe and relaxing space where you feel at ease, peace, and productive afterwards. I believe everyone should come here more often because I loved it so much! I can honestly say you will too. Thank you for the amazing service and I will be coming back again for sure! :)

As a birthday surprise for my coffee-loving wife, I arranged for us to participate in Newton's coffee experience. It was an absolute hit and far exceeded our expectations!

From the moment we walked into the coffee lounge, we were enveloped in the rich aroma of fresh coffee and warmly greeted by Newton. His passion for coffee shone through every aspect of the experience, from his extensive knowledge to his precise skills.

The session started with Newton explaining the basics, including the distinctions between espresso, latte, cappuccino, and macchiato. This was enlightening for both of us, even as longtime coffee enthusiasts.

We then had the chance to go hands-on with the process. Newton guided us through each step, from grinding the beans, to pulling the perfect shot of espresso, and even the art of frothing milk for cappuccinos. It was both educational and fun, offering us a real glimpse into the world of a professional barista. We even got to learn about the workings of their impressive $14,000 espresso machine!

Newton's storytelling was another highlight of our experience. His tales of training baristas, running the café, and his own journey in the coffee world were captivating. It was evident that he takes immense pride in his work, and this love and dedication translate into the wonderful café they run and the extraordinary experience they offer.

The selection of snacks provided was delightful, complementing the coffee tasting perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed the range of coffees, with the caramel macchiato and iced coffee being particular standouts.

This experience was not just about tasting coffee, but truly understanding the art and science behind it. It was a treat for any coffee lover and a unique way to celebrate a special day. I highly recommend Newton's coffee experience to anyone who appreciates good coffee and wants to deepen their understanding of it.

Thank you, Newton, for making my wife's birthday truly unforgettable. We can't wait to...

Nice little spot; came here for a birthday painting with a twist for my cousin. It was a somewhat confusing to find since I was looking for a sign advertising that they did the painting classes, but all I found was the coffee shop. I ended up having to put two & two together to figure it out. Inside is really snazzy, nice lounge chairs and games to play to kill time if one partook in the drinks and snacks. I however did not since I was just expecting a BYOB painting class, and I had already eaten. Im giving 3 stars (would give 3 1/2 if I could) because it was kinda hot. Initially I thought it was just me, but others in our group said the same. The instructor was cool and helpful. The store owner was quiet and just smiled and watched. Overall we had fun; it was a nice intimate setting for just us girls. The unhatched instructor even played songs at our request, so that was nice. Would come back to actually...

Possibly the best cold brew I've ever had made for me. This space doubles as an event space, you can rent it out for a work meeting/ party or your birthdays/ paint parties, etc. It is a very inviting space and it's quiet with free high speed wifi. Stepping in from the noise outside feels as if it's some portal to peace and serenity. It's a very nice, calming atmosphere. I'm opting for coconut vanilla any time it's an option and I am thankful I did. It is so smooth and delicious. It tastes like actual coffee, not liquid sugar disguised as coffee. The baked goods are also delicious and he even offered to warm them for me. The banana bread was fresh and tasted like homemade goodness and the chocolate chip pumpkin treats tasted like I should go back tomorrow and the next day... and the next day. Customer service was amazing 10/10 would recommend and revisit; PLUS, support local...
