What did i just experience?
I came here from the 4.6 rating, maybe i shouldve set my expectations for mcdonalds, but even their customer service is better.
Following up with "jojen's" review, i guarantee you i had the same frustrated kid today, "alex g" as the cashier.
Even though it was obvious it was all of our first times there, no assistance was given, no guidance, nothing aside from "yepp thats a combo"
Pros:
The burger was alright
Cons:
the kid at the front looks like hes worked there too long, he just wants to leave, and doesnt care if hes fired that day. "alex g", i am referring to you.
No A/C? it was actually cooler outside in the TX summer than it was inside. I didnt understand it, but if there was a bench outside i wouldve eaten there instead, in the sun.
No music, no TV? prepare to sit there in silence (idk if the heat is consistent) with no service. All we could hear is the sound of the kitchen chopping things up for im assuming what was online orders as nobody else stepped a foot into the door since we arrived.
They just dont care, the same cashier is there and theyll respond to your negative reviews with a basic Chat GPT response, it may even be fully automated and unseen based on the review score.
The "buffalo fries" are literally just basic fries with buffalo sauce poured onto them, making them soggy and gross. That is literally it, fries drowned in low quality buffalo sauce.
Good luck reading the menu, i have 20/20 vision and cant even read the ingredients on the menu overhead, grab a paper one? Well i did, and thhe ingredients again are the smallest fine print youll ever see on a 2x4 inch menu (roughly). Good luck getting more info out of the frustrated cashier.
15+ per combo, with that service, and those fries? The prices are ridiculous for what you get. If im going to pay $50 plus for some burgers it shouldnt feel like im eating at a fast food joint. The meals were ready in about 3 minutes, not...
Read moreA little slice of Tex-Mex meets classic Americana. The patio area is huge and beautiful especially on this sunny and beautiful day. The interior is reminiscent of small family taquerias dotted throughout the Houston area, with a large cacti mural on the left wall. I love the earthy tones they used, being inside kind of made me feel outside in a way that I wasn't expecting. The food they offer is unique in a way that it harkens back to traditional Mexican roots but with Americana fanfare. I ordered their house burger and spicy garlic fries which went down with a mandarin Jarritos. FYI they do have a black bean patty that is deliciously house made for my fellow vegetarian and vegan people. Though they didn't have a fountain that didn't deter me from leaving them the full five. The burger had a little kick, but was delicious til the very end when there was no more. Great food, great staff, and great patio...
Read moreI went here 2 days after hurricane Beryl. This was the only place open and i'm glad.Inside I encountered 3 hardworking Hispanics (who seem to be the only race willing to work and not have an attitude) Angela D took my order and was very nice and polite and customer service oriented. The 2 Hispanic cooks inside were very hardworking and cooked up a really delicious burger and fries. If your looking for a good meal (especially bugers) without any ghettoness or ghetto attitudes, this place is it. Inside, u won't find a lazy certain race of people who think their lives matter more than others. These (hispanics) are actually willing to work and are not mad about it. Instead. they are very polite and professional about it. i highly recommend the #3: special. Those guys inthe kitchen really know what they r doing. Very good at their job. Angela was so very courteous. God bless her, the cooks in the kitchen...
