This review is for the woman that runs this location. You need to learn to LISTEN to your customers instead of just trying to talk over them - THAT is why you have the "miscommunication" you claim to have. I called to inform you that when I finally got home, after fighting Houston 6:00 traffic, I discovered my order was WRONG. Wrong to the point where I could NOT even eat it. This is not the first time this has happened, and we order at your location at least once a month. Not anymore! I ordered a Turkey Melt, and got an absolutely disgusting grease soaked hamburger patty with undercooked bacon and nasty soggy fries. I tried to tell you multiple times that I would like my order REFUNDED for YOUR mistake, and you kept running your mouth to the point where I literally had to ask you to shut your mouth and listen. You are way too stressed out to be a manager. Get a grip! If you would have listened, and actually attempted to fix the problem, MAYBE I would not be leaving this review, as well as the one I intend to also leave on Yelp, and your other social media accounts. I do NOT play when it comes to my time and money being taken advantage of by a business that makes a living off overpriced food and ridiculously poor management. I'm sharing photos of the greasy nasty mess I was given instead of what I ordered tonight, so that others can decide if they want to be charged over $60 for 3 simple take out meals, that they "may" or "may not" get right.
UPDATE: The manager just texted my phone, after I posted this review, telling me I needed to come in to get a refund for "ONLY" the turkey melt that I never received. I say "ONLY" because that is what her text specifically reads, as if this is somehow such a huge courtesy. I literally went without dinner tonight because of this, wasted my time and gas, and now expected to go out of my way to get a simple refund - and I'm supposed to be grateful??? At this point, I could care less about the refund, I already tried asking you for a refund and your loud angry mouth wouldn't let me get in two words edgewise. Keep the change.
Response to your ridiculous reply: "Verbally abusive"??? Are you serious? You wouldn't let me even speak, so how was I the verbally abusive one? I had to ask you to be quiet so I could speak - is that what you are considering being "abusive"?? Your attempt at trying to flip the script here to make yourself appear "victimized" or validate your unprofessional, rude, and inept managerial skills is pathetic. A refund, according to you, would require me to re-enter your establishment - something I vow to never do again. Hope it was worth losing...
Read moreUpdate 2/17/22 This place is poorly managed at this point. I think they just have too many people coming there. The food is good, but the service is slipping. When you place an order online, they call you to verify the order and that you want to pick it up at the Barker Cypress location, which is annoying. Furthermore, the last three to four times that we've ordered here, they give us an ETA of when the food will be done, we wait that time then leave to come get it. We always wait until that time's up to go to the restaurant. You pay, get your drinks, and then wait. We waited an additional 45 minutes once at the restaurant for food. I spoke with the manager and all he could say was that they're getting slammed and that he's sorry. To top it off, people are coming in after you've already ordered online and waited your time, they come in and order and get their food before you do. Also my fish was cold and I just live across the street. The manager offered to do nothing about any of the cold food we received. The food's good, but it's not worth being overlooked, and being served cold food, especially for the price.
When they first opened: So we stumbled upon this place just wanted to try something new. We were not disappointed. The food is so good and the portions are huge. The fries are excellent. When you get a combo, basically it's two meals so you can save half for later. The owner seems pretty nice. They do call the verify that you actually are picking up from the correct store, and those three calls were a little bit annoying, but it didn't matter because the food is so great that that's all you can...
Read moreThe minute you enter Joy Love burger, you know there’s something different about that place. Built for serving food rather than a long sit-down meal, the menu is displayed on the counter with pictures besides all the menu items; a novelty in most places. Along with the standard Americana fare of burgers, fries, and wings, there are other items to tantalize your taste buds. Choice of London or Cajun style fried fish, and Cajun wings among the more varied of menu items. Over several visits, I have tried the burgers, chili cheese fries, fried fish (London Style, which is the traditional English style breading vs. the Cajun style which is fried with cornmeal breading), and the Cajun style wings. Every single dish I have eaten there has been great with big portion sizes. With USDA Prime meat forming the patties, and the burger buns soft, warm and chewy, the burgers form the centerpiece of their menu. Not be left behind, the sauce-free Cajun style wings, fried in subtle spices are an equal match for their stellar burgers. The staple of fries compliments and finishes off the meal. I love coming to this place. The owners are always present, and cheerful. The service is delivered with a smile, and the excellent food makes the whole...
