Plum Coffee.( this is a review of plum i did in my journalism class) Iām the type of person who likes to wake up early in the morning to meet up with a friend at coffee shop; however itās difficult to find peace and calmness at a local Starbucks, which are prone to being crowded and noisy. I was stumped for a period time, frustrated with the obnoxiously loud scene Starbucks offered. Where in cypress was there coffee shop that didnāt scream āStarbucks!ā After taking my search onto the internet it was only a matter of minutes before I came across Plum Coffee, located on Barker Cypress Rd. After scrolling through multiple photos of the coffee shop I knew instantly I had to go. What puts Plum Coffee aside from Starbucks is the 50ās theme it offers. Multiple vintage pieces are displayed around the coffee shop such as a record player, a typewriter, and even old Hollywood movie posters. Besides the theme of the coffee shop I also enjoyed the silence. Plum Coffee isnāt usually swarmed with customers and if they are the customers remain respectively silent, light chatter among them and their friends. Though, itās not entirely silent. Music is played throughout the coffee shop bringing life to the retro theme. Plum coffee is rich in diversity on terms of food and drinks sold. The shop offers deliciously baked pastries, sub sandwiches, tea, coffee, and much more at a reasonable price! A personal favorite of mine is the snicker doodle Frappuccino with a tandoori chicken sandwich on the side. The sandwich is absolutely delicious and it takes no time for the employeeās to make. Plum coffee also has an incredibly generous staff. When asked if I could have a refill of my tea the usual young man that works at the coffee shop was more than happy to make me another hibiscus mint. When I tried to pay for the drink the employee was very kind, stating it wasnāt necessary. Plum Coffee is bringing something new to the table and with their business booming theyāll be soon offering movie nights along with poetry readings (so Iāve heard). They even now have a drive thru window open so customers in a hurry can grab ahold of their preferred drink or meal. Plum Coffee is definitely the coffee shop to go if youāre looking for an inexpensive place to sit in. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlum is my favorite coffee shop in Cypress and I'm not even a coffee drinker! They offer so much more than coffee, for all the non coffee drinkers out there. They have teas, smoothies, shakes, and yummy food. My favorites are their breakfast croissant sandwiches, chai tea, and London Fog. I discovered that they also sell cakes (pops, cake in a jar, etc.). I was surprised to find board games too! This is such a great spot to grab a treat and chat. Beyond that, they provide such a personable experience. They are the definition of good customer service. One of the owners is always there and she always makes sure everyone is taken care of, including the staff. Every time I go in, the interactions between the staff are positive and supportive. Another reason I enjoy coming here is because of the ambiance. They have soft lighting and the music is so relaxing and refreshing (think Jack Johnson). Good vibes all the way around. Happy to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved this place so much. I love being able to drive through on a busy morning. I visited them on a cold Friday morning a couple of weeks ago. The drive thru is a bit hidden but just follow GPS instructions or look in between the business there they have plenty of signage and you'll be okay, there is also plenty of parking on the back and front. I was greeted by a very friendly barista who was knowledgeable and nice. Even my dog in the back seat got amazing service and got a pup cup (which he really enjoyed). I ended up ordering a latte and a croissant sandwich. They were ready super fast and we're both equally delicious and well packed as to-go orders. I will definitely be returning for their amazing food and...
