I took my kids yesterday for the first time to experience authentic Salvadorian food. It was the worst experience ever. I was at the front counter trying to decide what we should order and the ladies up front seem upset. I stepped away from the counter so others can order while we looked at the menu from afar. I finally ordered and I asked the lady if they can clean the table so we can sit it took her 20 minutes and me having to remind her. I noticed she was seating other customers before me so I asked her what was the deal I need my table cleaned so I can sit down and wait for my food. After 30 minutes she cleans our table.I was noticing that people that got there before me were getting their food it's been an hour and still no food I stood up and asked the lady to just charge me for my drinks when I said that all of a sudden she's bringing the food out it was cold.I was very disappointed because I've told the children the food was delicious here the service sucks. I asked to speak to the manager and another lady apologized and said he was not available I didn't not appreciate how I was treated. They have no customer service skills. The first time I went there was a week ago with my husband and they were so lovely. The food is delicious but I will never eat there again maybe order and pick up not a nice place to eat anyways very dirty tables. I do recommend the food but they need new customer...
Read moreThe food is great, but their service has always been horrible ever since they opened up this place. With the exception of one man who worked here, he was always on top of everything. At one point you need to go up to the register and order. All of a sudden they look at you confused and then tell you to take a seat and someone will take your order. Now it's seat yourself and order at the register. The lady made eye contact with me when we came in and saw us take a seat. They need improvement when it comes to their service. It would be nice to be informed when obviously you know the customer does not know what's going on. How are we suppose to know you changed the rules. We waited over 45 minutes for our food when it wasn't even busy. The family that came after us recieved their food before us. My husband finally went to go tell them how much longer. Litterly they came in less then a minute to give us our food. You won't be disappointed with the food, but go in knowing you have to do their job when it comes to the service. We are very patient, undertanding, and still tip when restaurants are running behind. It happens, but with them it's all the time. Make sure you need you call your order in. Their closing time...
Read morePeople need to chill out about the wait times. Try making pupusas just once to see what I mean. My wife is Salvadorian and the few times she has made pupusas for dinner it was very labor intensive.
It’s not easy to make them quickly on the spot and if they were premade they would not taste good. You can be sure your pupusas will take some time but they will be GOOD.
The reason you can get a fast service at a fast food place is that the food they are giving you was preheated maybe even precooked from the factory and not made to order. Tradeoffs...
If this was any other type of restaurant yes the service would be appalling but because of the specific nature of how pupusas are made, I would say the service is as fast as it can be. You can’t say the place is understaffed because there is no point in having extra waitresses if the bottleneck is always going to be in the kitchen.
You also can’t expect them to expand their kitchen, sometimes small businesses have to work with what they’ve got, they’re barely churning out a small and hopefully reasonable profit most...
