The Abbey Pub — Restaurant in Texas

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever went through going to dive bars. Places filled with smoke and it smells of old beer that's been wasted all over the floor. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone decided to come and take our order. That was the only one person working in the whole building her name is Mindy and when I say she has a nasty attitude multiply that times 5. The whole time she was making out with drinks all she was doing was talking to other customers. What normally would have been a 10 minute wait turn into a 30-minute wait. The Abbey Pub is seriously our FAVORITE bar in the Houston area! They always have FANTASTIC bands (and no cover charge), their dance floor is really nice, and spacious, and they make the best drinks and charge less for them than other bars! Plus, the bartenders are super friendly, fast, and attentive, unlike many other places. In fact, every staff member is AWESOME - like Chris, the really cool bouncer, and Maggie, the wonderful bartender. This bar establishment is falling apart as I've been there off and on for about 15 years. This time I was shocked to see the atmosphere and general group of people there, lack of professionalism and their ac was not even working!
