My friend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Monarca Bar & Grill, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for a great meal.

The highlight of our visit was the delicious mofongo, expertly prepared with the perfect balance of garlicky goodness and crispy pork. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the texture was spot on—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My friend paired hers with savory longaniza, which was juicy and full of rich, smoky flavors. I had mine with chicharrones, and I’m still enjoying the leftovers as I type this. I drive by this place everyday to drop my kid off at school. Plus it being just a Dominican spot, is worth trying! Dominican food is amazingly good and to find a spot like this in my neighborhood in houston reminds me of back home in the bronx or even puerto rico. But the service was amazing and the spot was very cute and nicely decorated. Felt just like a Caribbean owned spot, I loved everything about it. It's small in size but big in flavor in all ways! They food was delicious and lacked nothing was perfect in texture, flavor, and presentation. I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. The service in this place makes you feel like you are in Dominican Republic the team is super sweet attentive always smiling make you feel at home! The food is off the hook super fresh delicious from the appetizers yuca salami chicharrones tostones Maduros the flavor is authentic!! Main plates are also delicious mofongo hits the spot the Sancocho to die for!!
