Night Owl Bar Round Rock — Restaurant in Texas

!!!!!!!!!DO NOT VISIT IF YOU COME FROM OUT OF STATE OF YOURE NOT STRAIGHT OR IF YOURE NOT WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. When we first got there (family of 6) they did not have table service so we had to get up to the bar to order which was okay with us. We were visiting my older parent in laws so we went to the bar and order drinks for our entire table. I was obviously not going to make my older parents get up to get their drinks. The bartender told me a “skinny” margarita was too complicated. He expressed he didn’t want to be there and much rather be at home. I figured I would just get my drinks and go back to my table with my family. Go back for a second round, he gave me attitude again. The night kept going I was getting double margaritas for multiple people on our party of 6. By our 3rd drink the bartender expressed he couldn’t serve more than 8 drinks per person. Which neither one of us had gotten more than 3 drinks. He continued to be rude as I continue to explain to him that the drinks have not been consumed by the same person, that we were a party of 6 and that even if one person was drinking all the margaritas as he said, the total still didn’t add up to 8 drinks. By this time he has been serving shots to people at the bar that had been there hours before we got there and expressed they had more than 8 straight shots. I asked to closed out and took my family to a more pleasant place. Looking at the receipt later on I realize that we had order 4 margaritas 2 of which were doubles. One double for me and one for my sister in law. One single margarita to my mother in law and another single for my sister in law. It is just crazy to me how unwelcoming a supposedly “neighborhood” bar was. The bartender was drunk out of his mind. Couldn’t hold a conversation, couldn’t mix a “skinny margarita” (even though they’re a cocktail bar) but my family is the one not being serve drinks? After I asked to closed out, someone spill and broke a glass at the bar. I wonder if they were supposed to be cut off earlier….

All I would say is don’t waste your money here if you’re not local. If you’re not straight and definitely if you’re not white. You’re probably will be treated poorly, looked down upon and just not welcomed at all.

If you are coming from out of state DO NOT COME HERE !!! Only “locals” are welcomed. Even though my parents in law are “locals”

Honestly I can’t understand where those recent bad reviews are coming from but I find them to be very comical!! This amazing establishment has always been 100% on point EVERY TIME!! The bartenders are always laughing and having a great time and wonderful mixologists of some really cool and fun drinks and if they don’t know how to make it they ask you very politely (speaking from experience) on how to make it. This wonderful and inviting bar has always treated everyone no matter race or sexual preference with the utmost respect so for some people to say different is an absolute lie!! The prices are always very decent and the regulars are always very kind too and will just start up a conversation with you. It’s definitely a modern day Cheers lol I say that because it’s a neighborhood bar it’s very chill and there’s always a game or music playing and the entire staff is nothing short of fantastic!! Make sure you stop by and I guarantee you within a few minutes you’ll be hooked!!! It really feels like you’re hanging out at friends place!! So what are you waiting on...

We always drive by this place and yesterday decided to stop for a couple of drinks after a long day at work, we walked in and saw a look alike Lassie (dog) running around in the bar barking dog-toys scattered all over the floor this place was dirty and smelled nasty so we immediately walked out feeling confused 😕 not all people are dog lovers!! If you folks want to drink and take your dogs there then go to the park buy yourself a six pack of beer and let your dog run around all you want!!! Stop it already this is getting ridiculous 😒 I wonder if the health department knows about this bar allowing dogs inside 🤔 letting my friends and family know so they don't waste their time and money in...
