Siempre Natural 'Shary' — Restaurant in Texas

I visited the Siempre Natural location in Mission with high expectations, especially since I go to other Siempre Natural locations across the Valley at least four times a week. Unfortunately, this visit left me really disappointed.

I ordered the chipotle chicken salad, and even with added sauce, it lacked flavor entirely. The sauce itself was bland, which really surprised me given how flavorful it usually is at other locations. I also had the chicken zucchini soup, which tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time—it was extremely watered down and just didn’t taste fresh.

What makes this more frustrating is that I’ve had consistently great experiences at other Siempre Natural restaurants. But when I mentioned this visit to co-workers who had also tried the Mission location, they all said the same thing: the food just doesn’t have the same flavor.

I hate to say it, but this location is giving Siempre Natural a bad reputation. I know what their food is supposed to taste like, and sadly, this visit just didn’t live up to...

Walked in last night at 9:10 pm. Place was empty. We were the only ones there. Male greeted us and immediately said we had to speak to the manager? Female employee (the manager I guess), walked to the counter and says we close at 9:30. Okay????? It’s 9:10!! Basically refused service right then and there. Who ever the owner of this is establishment is needs to frequent the place more often because your employees’ customer service is making you lose money. Customer service is everything! We walked out and went next door to Antojitos Mexicanos where they were extremely busy and the young man at the counter STILL provide excellent customer service! I went to this location today, 11-7-13, at about 730pm and received the worst customer service from the manager (Alberto) himself. We simply requested that we have some fresh chicken salad for our order. He said he couldn't and wouldn't do it because "it was against the rules". What does that mean? Aren't you the manager? It wasn't a fresh batch of chicken salad either, it was almost empty. It amuses me how he would much rather lose a customer than accommodate us and have us review him with a way better rating. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this restaurant. FYI, there is a much better restaurant right down the street called Gumbo's Deli...with fantastic food...
