Brought my wife here on a today at 5:20pm and the place was empty except for us and the staff. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, though the waitress on hand only spoke Spanish, so my wife did most of the translating. We ordered the cucumber lemonade which came in these cute ribbed jugs with little plastic hat lids. They were nice and refreshing. The meal started with complimentary chips and salsa (the habanero lime salsa is not for the weak of tongue) and a sample of ceviche. The ceviche was great. I noticed a hair on the plate of ceviche, it wasn't touching the food so I brushed it off and it was no big deal, one hair, not touching the food, it happens.. It was thin, dark, long, and crumpled up. I hoped it would be a singular occurence. We ordered their signature mariscada 7 mares botana which the owner/manager said was enough for 2 people. There was miscommunication with the waitress, and instead of ordering 1, she gave us 2 orders of the botana. I didn't realize it because it was all on 1 platter and the gentleman said it was enough for two people. Indeed there was a lot of food. After eating most it, I noticed the second hair on one of the fried fish fillets. This hair was short and straight. I consider myself a guy with a strong stomach, but it was starting to make me queasy.. and then I found the third hair, short and thin stuck against the oily bottom of the fillet... We promptly asked for the check. And that was when I discovered the miscommunication. 2 drinks 4 bucks each, 2 botanas 17.99 each. Total plus tax was $47.61, not including my $8 tip. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and delicious. 2 their credit they came by multiple times to ask if everything was okay, to which I replied "everything was great thank you" to not cause a scene," but that was before the second and third hairs.. and who knows how many my wife and I could've unknowingly eaten. Deducting 1 star per hair found with food. For the price point of $50 for 2, I expect my food to have 0 hairs. Please use hair nets or something because that...
Read more1st and Last time!! I can’t believe Betiko and Ismael From Forkit actually gave this place good reviews on TikTok. They must be getting paid to do so!! Very disappointed!! Food taste was HORRIBLE! Ordered some chicken nuggets for my 2 year old daughter and they were RAW like if I asked for them rare!! I should have taken a pic… the service was not the best; not the waiters fault , I’m sure she’s eaten there also and probably doesn’t , so she saw the disappointment on my face when I didn’t finish my tacos , and took 1 bite of the tostada tampico 🤢 , soft drinks were flat… the list goes on… I couldn’t wait to get out of there as soon as I walked in, the place smells horrible as soon as you walked in , so I already had bad taste in my mouth since I walked in there , but wanted to see if betiko and fork it were actually right about this place…. Sorry I mentioned names but we only went there because of TikTok and will never be back!!
Been with stomach ache ever since we walked out of there… $83 for that horrendous food was the worst probably.. I can’t believe I paid, i should have said something there I know … I just didn’t ask for a refund at least on the raw nuggets because I thought the waiter would be smart enough to waive them.
Sorry about this review but I couldn’t let it go.. been 8 hours since we ate there and I still have the disappointment bothering me .. could have had a delicious steak dinner at Prado’s or Roadhouse for that money or eaten at villa Del Mar for half that money and would have...
Read moreI went to Mariscos 7 Mares located on the expressway by Shary road. It's on the left side of Walmart as you look at it. I went with my good friend for a late lunch. Once seated we ordered our teas and food at the same time. I ordered a ceviche tostada (which I never received)and the fish mojo de Ajo. Fish with garlic). My friend ordered a bowl of seafood soup. Some restaurants use butter as a medium for the garlic to create a sauce and to mellow out the garlic. Unfortunately the garlic on my fish was way to strong to even put in my mouth. It was finley minced to almost a puree and spread across the fish. It was as if I was eating raw garlic, I asked to switch it to the breaded fish. I was able to eat that with the hot sauces that were already on the table. My friend commented that his soup was flavorless and needed something else to enhance it.. I don't know if I'll ever go back again, more than likely it won't be...
