Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Texas

Ever since I was a kid- this was my go to Sonic. I’ve had issues here and there but usually just a once in a blue moon kind of thing- people make mistakes so it’s no worries. HOWEVER- I had gone to this location pretty frequently in the last couple months because I developed an obsession with the lemonade cream cooler. To make it you need frozen lemonade syrup and slushy ice to make a frozen lemonade and then you put ice cream on top and blend it all together. I got one at least once a week. Now 7/11/2025 I have gone 3 times this week and left unhappy every time. They took it off of the app but upon visiting they said they still make it, just not on the app anymore so I continued ordering them and haven’t had a problem. 3 times this week I have gone, the first I left disappointed because it was all very liquidy- not much slush at all or thickness. The second time I just got a lemonade slush with a squirt of creamer (liquid creamer)- both times I was unable to go back due to being in a rush somewhere and the location is hard to circle back to. This is now the third time I have ordered it and not received the proper drink- this time I got a large cup full of vanilla ice cream and unmixed lemonade syrup that I had to spit back out into the cup because it was SOOOO SOUR. I also ordered tots two of those times and the first time they were all squished in crumbles and cold.. seemed like they took the extra out of an old bag or something. And this time they were covered in black burns and way too crunchy to eat. I’ve never had this many problems with this location and honestly I don’t think I’m going to keep trying to get that drink because it’s too expensive to keep messing up. I'm giving a below average rating mainly because this location STILL doesn't know what a "Purple O" or "Purple Sprite" is. They STILL have someone who claims they don't have it. The drink has been around for at least 20 years that I know of, yet... y'all aren't training your assistant managers on off menu items that have been around longer than they've probably been alive. We usually go to Sonic just for drinks but today we wanted some snacks. We ordered 2 coneys, mozzarella sticks, a corn dog, and 2 slushes. We enjoyed the drinks and mozzarella sticks but the coneys were warm but not enough to enjoy so we did not finish them. My child got the corn dog and he didn’t want to eat it. I took a bite and it was awful. It tasted old and chewy and when I opened it up it, the meat had a weird color, it was green and looked spoiled. We immediately threw it away.
