I didn't even know there was anything back down that road except a mobile home park. Like always I looked on Maps to check out what restaurants were open for this Friday evening for us 3 to go chow. Also hoping to find a new place. So we had 2 choices; The Humble Fork or Southern Sky Music Cafe, so my husband picked the Cafe. We showed up lookin good, entered the restaurant and to our surprise it was huge but empty, which is okay with us. We didn't know to seat ourselves or wait so we just stood there waiting for someone. A young lady came and assisted us to a table of our choice inside or outside. It was warm outside so we picked indoors. She took our drink order and told us that she will be serving us. They don't have a liquor license so the only serve beer and wine. I am pretty sure our waitress's name was Erica. She just started working there and we had never been there before so it worked out perfect. She was young, delightful, and had a good head on her shoulders. She carried herself well. It took awhile for us to decide what to eat because we were jabbering about their menu. After ordering I decided to walk around and check the place out, my husband went outside to check out the surroundings, and Heather sat there at the table on her phone. It had plenty of entertaining conversational pieces around the whole place. There was a musician playing country music. I didn't know it but I walked in front of a fan to I totally fell in love with. It felt like hurricane force wind. I love fans, I have one in every room in my home. That was a plus sign for me. When I got back to the table the food was already there, it looked and smelt great. And it was. OMG! Yummy! Kudos to the Chef. My husband's steak was a little under cooked so Erica had him flame it once more. The chef is who bring it back out to us. Him and my husband started talking about how talented Bryon is and how they should have one of his pieces of artwork displayed in the restaurant. They exchanged numbers and the Chef was also a nice gentleman. It's one of those rare moments when u find nice people in this crazy world. Thanks for showing us a pleasant evening. We will go back and ask to be served by Erica and hopefully have the same...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and do not miss this place! Selfishly, I almost want to not say anything and keep it to myself, but this place really deserves it. We stopped in on a Friday evening to listen to some live acoustic music and have a cocktail and dinner. They have wine and beer only. Try the tequila (wine based) sour…. Yummy! The atmosphere is casual yet nice. The hostess and waitstaff were all extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Even the owners make a point to say ‘hello’.
The food!! We started out with the jalepeno poppers. OMG!! These are the bomb! Best we have had! (If you do not like any heat whatsoever do not get them, hello jalepenos, then try the nachos. They looked amazing!) For my entree I ordered the Cobb salad. I know a salad doesn’t sound too exciting, but I really like a good salad, and this was a REALLY good salad!! My husband got the steak kabobs, ordered medium, and the were cooked perfect. He ate every last bite!
We liked this place so much we came back again the following Friday. Again, more jalapeño poppers. This time I got the angel hair pasta with chicken and my husband got the pizza. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The Parma Rosa sauce was extremely tasty yet light and the marinated chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. I wanted to eat it all, but I got full. Thank goodness my husband then deviated from his pizza he was enjoying to kindly finish my pasta for me, allowing him some leftover pizza to take home for later. He said the pizza was very good. He got the hand tossed style crust but they also offered a thinner more flat bread style if preferred. The owners remembered us from the week before, and again came over and took a few minutes to say hello.
Only regret is that we weren’t staying in the area longer to go back a third time. But we...
Read moreVisited for the first time today. The facility was very clean and really cool to look at.
Was very impressed with multiple gluten free options! The French fries were great too.
I mentioned to a staff lady that, as a suggestion, we'd love to see fried pickles, mushrooms & onion rings offered. I know if I wanted to listen to live music with a couple beers then I'd rather be munching on some appetizers vs a full meal - She didn't seem to care that much about my suggestion, and even seemed a bit put off I even mentioned it, but who am I? Only a customer showing interest in a new place.
I was a little set back with the fact that they charge extra for blue cheese dressing. Being informed of extra charges beforehand are nice.
Would I go back? Probably, but mainly as a novelty place to take out of state/town visitors. But I doubt I'll have it on my normal rotation. It's a bit pricey and although the menu has a wide variety of food, there's really not a whole lot...
