I have nothing against the people running this place. I’ll simply not go to this location anymore. I have been eating from Subway restaurants for almost 18 years, and I’ve never had a situation where I’ve been told no for vegetables. I was getting subs for myself and someone else. The other person simply wanted spinach, tomato, extra onions, and jalapeños. Far from asking all the veggies. Yet, when I said I wanted extra tomatoes and onions, the woman behind the counter said, “no, I already put tomatoes and onions.” I asked her to put some more because the other person’s preference is to get extra of those two. She put the minimal portion and said again, “I already put so that’s it.” I told her that I see that but I’m looking for more since there’s nothing else going into that sub. She grabbed 2 onion pieces and put that on and said “okay, I put now.” What amazes me about that is that I’ve never seen anyone put a strict limit on portioning. Especially when it wasn’t even like the sub was overfilled. This person ended up doing similar on my sub and said that I had already gotten enough vegetables. I wasn’t trying to overfill and simply get vegetables for the sake of getting them. So it’s frustrating to hear that. Again, nothing against the people cause they’re usually friendly, but I won’t go back here again simply cause after making same orders for years across different locations, this is the first time I’ve been told that. It’s a shame. I even took a picture of the sub in question to show how it’s not as if it was overfilled and she would’ve been unable to add...
Read moreToday at approximately 5:10pm went into this local subway to order my kids a kids meal and myself a sub for dinner. The gentleman before me tried to pay for his meal when the computer system went down. The owner restarted the computer and tried again. He then apologized to the young man in front of me and told him to go ahead and take his sandwich because it was already made. And repeated “Its no problem, you can take it.” Kind gesture.
I was directly behind this person as my sandwiches were all ready to be paid for. We tried to use my card to pay as well however didn’t have any luck. He then asked me if I had cash and I politely said I didn’t and showed my empty wallet. The manager then told me, “I am sorry ma’am” as he proceeded to take the sandwiches away. I looked at him puzzled and asked, “That’s it? You let the man in front of me take his meal by no fault of his own. What is the difference? Why would you continue to make sandwiches if your machine isn’t working? Why not put a sign on the door?” He just looked at me with no explanation. Never did I raise my voice or get loud. However formerly working in customer service this just seemed wrong. It wasn’t my fault his machine wasn’t working. It also seemed like a waste of food since I know they were going to throw it away anyway. Why not, do right by the customer? Or at least offer a discount in the future for the inconvenience of waiting in line, ordering, and preparing to pay. “I’m sorry.” Doesn’t really mean anything when he blatantly gave the person right in front of me their meal for the...
Read moreWhen I placed my order, I asked for 4 sandwiches. I asked for the first two to be made first since they were the veggie delites and not to cross contaminate with meat. I went on to pay for the sandwiches, drink, and chips. Before the employee walked away from the register I told her my two other sandwiches are turkey. I went to put something in the trash. A line had formed and she helped the person who was in front of me. Instead of saying something when the employee saw me, they kept helping the person in front of me. Cool. No worries. But they went on to do another task. Umm... I told you I had 4 sandwiches. I finally said something and I could tell the employees did not like I said something. When I gave the explanation, I told them I understand you are busy, all you have to do is explain. They mislabeled my order too as the sandwich with out mayo had mayo. Subway Owner, train your staff to not cross contaminate meat orders with non meat. I saw in front of my eyes the employee put meat on my sandwhiches and then went to put veggies for the veggie delite. Also, if the customer asked for multiple sandwhiches, create them. You can tell a customer, I am still helping this one customer. I will...
