I’ve never tried this place before. I chose to eat here since it’s close to my house. Few things I noticed when walking in is the smell. It smells…off. Not in a foul way but in a weird-dusty-mildew smell.
I immediately noticed the ceiling tiles. Most, if not all, we’re bubbling and had water marks. Some we’re even bloated looking and busting out of the ceiling. The entire room was like that. It made me wonder if there was mold in the ceiling due to old water marks would allow this place to let customers eat inside the building with the ceiling tiles being like that? The smell was a little overwhelming and I wouldn’t be able to tolerate the odor with the roof looking insecure like that.
I ordered it to go.
Customer service: the woman who greeted me was very nice and friendly! She was sweet and kind and brought the food to my car
Food rating: My mom didn’t visit the place so she rated the food a 3.5/10. She thought the tortillas were soaked in oil and the meat was unseasoned.
The potato was hard and the cheese and crema was overpowering.
My husband: 4/10 He ordered trompo. He thought it was okay and said it missed the seasoning. The beans were alright.
My own review: 3/10 The corn tortillas were super oily. The meat was unseasoned. I asked for queso fresco but got those sand which cheese squares instead.
I paid $37 for the family combo because I asked for extra items but I don’t think I will come back.
I don’t mind spending money on food. But this was definitely a mid grade taco.
The coke was the best part. ☹️

Read moreThe food is alright tasting, usually a lot of those meat bits that you can’t really chew. Tacos are usually filled very lightly but I guess that’s what ur asking for with a 5 dollar taco order. Food and bags and containers are very greasy, let’s just say you should have napkins and eat at a table. Finally you should always call ahead if you plan to eat here and don’t waste the trip if they don’t pick up. The bill board, the door and the online profile all say “Abierto todos los Dias 8am-10pm” boasting that they are open every day from 8am to 10pm but the past three times I pulled up to the restaurant the open sign is blinking and the doors are locked. I recommend the Herrardura on shary. A bit pricey but the food is tasty and oh...
