Taqueria La Herradura Pharr — Restaurant in Texas

Placed an order for two baked potatoes to go, and while I was eating I started chewing on something and almost choked! I spit it out and I then found out that it was a piece of a torn glove! I immediately called the restaurant and they asked me to send a picture to them, then I never heard anything and called them back and supposedly the owner just said to come for another potato! I was shocked with that answer and told them I wanted my money back for both, because I didn’t even eat the other potato because I was grossed out, and the lady that I spoke to told me she spoke to the owner and she said for only one, and I had to go back the same day for the money, (keep in mind this is at 2 am) which I told her no because I live in McAllen, she then told me she would call me back and I told her I would wanted to speak directly to the manager and she didn’t want to pass me the phone because she said she was busy! So unprofessional, and that she would call me back, not the owner the worker (It’s been a good 45 min and they closed at 2:30 am and I still haven’t received a call back) So disgusted at this, completely unsanitary I can’t imagine all the other scenarios that could have happened. What if it would have been a child eating this and they choked and died! Would they have just said to get the money back! Completely unprofessional of them and I am reporting them tomorrow! Never eating here again! they should take better uncountability for...

I love the food from here. Great taste, great portions. The kitchen crew is doing a great job. The front of the house though might need some help. The place is clean and the ladies that have helped me out have been nice. However, the management of all the service and the orders is not so good. :[ I placed an order on the phone @830pm and was told it'd be ready in 15-20 minutes. I drove over got to the restaurant paid @9pm, sat down and waited for my order. At 915 a lady arrived and paid for her order.She waited impatienly for her order and complained about it not being ready even though she had placed the order over the phone 30 minutes in advance. She got frustrated and asked for her money back. Shortly after she left our orders were ready. The time was now 938pm. :[ It took about an hour for my order to be ready.

I have been to two other locations for their tacos and have never really had this problem. I am thinking it's just the location. Since it is right off the expressway it may be getting way more customers than it can handle. I went yesterday to this location with my family. I was the first one to get served after ordering. The food was served one by one. Everyone in family was served expect one of my family members. He was missing a papa w/ no meat and a torta. He never got what he ordered until 40 mins later when we were all done eating. When we told the waitress after she came to ask if we were missing anything, that the service was horrendous and terribly bad. She laughed in our faces and said "well sorry!" And finally we ask for the check. The check had items on it that weren't ordered and the torta and papa w/ no meat was still being charged on our check. Had a bad experience there. The food was delicious. That is the only thing i would go back for. But the service is way beyond bad. They need to run that...
