9/2025 update I must have had a couple of off nights because after getting the idea that the pizza wasn't great, I tried it again and was pleased at how delicious it was. The pasta is consistently wonderful.

Original review This is our new go-to Italian restaurant! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is really good. I will say that I've had better pizza (We got the $1.25 cheese slice), but I'm chalking it up to getting it to-go and having to wait a few minutes after we got it home to eat it. I suspect that if we'd dined in, the fresh pizza hot out of the oven would have blown us away. The rest of our order more than made up for it. We got lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. Let me tell you - I have made a point never to order spaghetti in a restaurant because I'm spoiled by my Italian grandmother's cooking. Since she's no longer with us, I was talked into giving it a try, and I'm so glad I did! It's ALMOST as good as hers was. (I have to say that in case the rest of my family sees this. haha) The pasta dishes came with two huge pieces of cheesy garlic bread, so if you leave the restaurant hungry, it's your own fault. On Dennis Jr's recommendation, we tried the beef patty with melted cheese added, and it had a really great flavor. The free foosball table is a great way to pass the time while you wait for your order. I gave the atmosphere only 4 stars because the restaurant seemed a little cluttered, but I suppose that's to be expected in a small space. All in all, it's a good restaurant with tasty food and reasonable prices. We'll...

I am saddened to write such an awful review for this place but unfortunately I am speaking solely based on the customer service aspect as I did not even get a chance to try the pizza. This is absolutely the WORST service I have ever had at a pizza location. I asked to speak to a manager regarding my experience. I spoke to a lady Maria (She changed her name 3 times so that could be untrue) that first said she was the manager and that the owner was not there. She then changed her story to say that she was the owner and if I didn't like it to call the police. I was astonished that she would encourage a customer to call the police over what seems to me to be a minor customer complaint. I did not want to argue with the "owner/manager/Maria/Anna/ who knows" so I decided to just ask for a number that I could call and address my complaints. She again told me to call the police which again I was in shock that she would encourage this at her place of business. She refused to give me any number and said "If you want it that bad, you can find it!". I left this location and went to spend my money elsewhere. I called the second Tony's location to address my complaint and spoke with a gentleman Antonio that was very caring and was much better at deescalating unhappy customers. I will never go back to the Jones Road location. There are way to many pizza competitors in Houston to be treated this way! Save yourself the trouble and money and go somewhere that values...

Been here a few times now since moving into the area from out of state, specifically NJ. You'll see why that matters later. Anyways, back to the food. Usually this is where I go when I'm craving a slice or two. Whether plain, pepperoni, or any other topping you just can't go wrong. Decided to try one of their hot subs today. Their Philly cheesesteak was perfection. So how can this place be so good. Well, after talking a couple times to the family (Dennis Sr., Dennis Jr., and Kevin) that owns the place it's easy to see why. They not only truly care about quality but it's in their roots. Originally from Long Island in NY they definitely know a thing or two about making a quality pizza as well as other items on their menu. So if you're ever in the area and looking for a NY style slice or more this is the place to stop into for sure. Lastly, their desserts are delicious too. I tried their chocolate chip cookie and cannoli as well today and they were not only homemade but right in every possible way. No place better than these guys to remind me of growing up at the...

Don't let the look of the area and shop keep you out. It's super casual and I wasn't sure what to expect until I had my first bite. The slices are huge so for me for lunch I had 1 slice and a drink. Tried the ricotta cheese and it was insanely good. So cheesy without the bland cheese taste you get at chains like Papas, Domino's, Hut etc. So much flavor of herbs (maybe Italian?) and I could taste the ricotta without it overpowering the buttery crust. Tried the cinnamon and sugar twists from a friend and those were delicious and fried without being greasy. Only bad thing was the iced tea. Couldn't drink it because it tasted stale but the food was so good I can't complain. Also if you pay with card, $5 min that's achieved by 1 pizza slice + drink or + twists. Def. coming back.

Tony's New York Pizza allows us Houstonians to experience and taste NY style pizza without having to travel all the way to get some. As swamped as they were around lunch time, they were super friendly, and punctual to getting our order and serving us. Needless to say the kids and wifey loved it and we're already planning our trip back! FYI, My baby girl is super picky when it comes to pizza. She's literally a 5yo Pizza connoisseur 😂. It got her stamp of approval as soon as she locked eyes with it! We got the 28 inch and slayed half of it! It warms up great the next day as well! Come check this place out if you're ever off Jones Rd! For all those commercial pizza places you're thinking about ordering from, "forget about it"...(Insert Italian accent)

Lots of places think they have New York style pizza - and they don't, but this place does! This is the first place outside of New York I've ever found that has true New York style pizza. They even serve it by the slice the way they do in New York. After I asked, I found out the owners are indeed from New York. Bonus! I live an hour away and will be back to this place at least once a week. Their small pizza is the same size as a large pizza at any of the chain restaurants, and it's about the same price too. Their sizes range from 14in to 24in, and they're very generous with the toppings. I also ordered wings and they actually have meat on them! The staff is also very friendly. Very highly recommended pizza joint!
