Whataburger — Restaurant in Texas

I love Whataburger. I worked there as a teen, and still love it. But this location has many issues that they just can't seem to shake. They are ungodly slow almost every time I go there. 15-20 minutes isn't uncommon, even when not busy. If they are busy, I usually just drive around and find some place else to go because a 30+ minute wait will be in store.

I was there a few nights ago and 3 people drove off while I was in line. When I got to the window, the young lady working the register said people had been doing that all night.

And while the employees are always very polite, it just doesn't ever seem like they are paying attention. I don't know if the issue is bad managers or some other kind of drama going on behind the scenes but rarely do they ever get my order right on the first try when repeating it back to me. The same visit as before they got my entire order partially wrong. I asked for Diet Dr Pepper, which was repeated back to me 3 times correctly and then confirmed again at the window but instead I got a regular Dr Pepper, ordered no onions on the burger but it was completely covered with onions, and requested a large fry with no salt and I got a medium fries with salt. I checked the receipt and everything on the receipt was listed correctly.

I know sometimes people have bad days or that it can be a bit hectic when it is busy but these aren't isolated incidents and happens more often than not. I am just going to save myself the trouble and drive the extra 10 minutes to the location on Broadway...

What happened to this place? This used to be one of the best WAB's....they ALL used to be awesome but this one and the one on Beckham were awesome. Over the last couple of years the food quality has declined tremendously. I think they lost an awesome manager that used to be there. Really wish I knew what his name was, he was there for years. Went through the drive through today. Ordered a Jr. Double meal and a Jr. meal. Drove 5 minutes down the road to eat and the fries were completely stale...not just cold.....old. And the burgers looked like they were ran over by a truck. Looked like a raccoon smashed and smeared on a back road. Come on people. If I wanted McDonald's quality we could have saved $10 and probably had hot fries. I stop here probably every 3 or 4 months and it just gets worse every time. Used to stop here...

The drive-thru here is the slowest I've ever been too. This used to be a decent place to go until about 6 months ago. About a month ago we dined in and after 20 minutes my husband checked on our order since we hadn't yet received ours. They claimed it must've been accidentally handed out to someone in the drive-thru. After 15 more minutes of waiting we finally got our food and the fries looked like they had been refried. They were really overcooked and didn't taste great but by that time we were so hungry we ate it anyway. That same day someone called to say their order was messed up and needed a refund. This one poor girl was answering the phone, taking drive-thru orders on her headset AND working the front register at the same time. They obviously do not hire enough staff. Will...
