Saucy Wingman — Restaurant in The Dalles

We originally were going to the Tadka for Indian food but they weren't open yet so my husband wanted to try the food here and he got the 6 wing with old bay with fries. I am not sure flavor of fries, but the fries were so good and flavorful(and I'm picky) the wings had a nice crisp however while the flavor was really good was a bit salty for me personally but I mean old bay is quite salty and I don't like a lot of salt but thats me. We tried different sauces and while I didn't ask I am certain they are all home made taste fresh don't taste like store bought which is a big plus for me.We will definitely come back! Oh yeah I almost forgot we did try the deep fried twinky. Its not a store bought twinky, much better in my opinion. I didn't ask flavors but I think 1 is chocolate filled the other is banana something filled. Both twinkle were good but I especially liked the banana . After reading all the reviews on Google we stopped on a roadtrip. I was really excited to try this place but was ultimately let down. We got bone in wings, tenders, fried pickles, tots and the jalapeño poppers. I felt the wings were comparable to other wing establishments. The fried pickles were very thinly sliced then deep fried but they came out somewhat burnt. The jalapeño poppers are made with fresh jalapeños a cream cheese stuffing and then a thin breaded coating on the outside. They seem to be cooked quickly due to the thin coating which resulted in the jalapeño still being very crunchy, the filling was good but still a little cold in the middle and they fell apart as you were biting into them. BEST WINGS ON THE WHOLE WEST COAST. As a truck driver we hardly come across decent food places that’s accessible with a whole 53ft trailer. Rolling down 84 we seen this spot and had to make a u-turn to come check out the scenery. Talked to Geoff about his wing flavors and that conversation alone had me sold! Wings are perfectly marinated and tossed to perfection! The blue cheese has chunks that go crazy! Definitely worth the stop if you’re nearby.
