Going downhill! Moved to the area 2 years ago and have had just about every chinese food around. When I found Koyame I found the best I have had in Florida until recently. My wife and I have either dined in or done take out from here at least once a week (take out only for the last 2 months due to the Covid 19 pandemic) sometimes twice a week but the last 4 times we have gotten food from here it has not been as good. Their dumplings used to be house made and were so good. We order them every time and 3 weeks ago they were different. I called and asked why and was told they are too busy to make their own and are now bought from a vendor and they were awful. This last weekend we ordered and I was told 15 minutes for pickup. I arrived in 15 minutes and stood outside for another 30 before my food was ready. When I got home everything was terrible. My wonton soup was so salty I could not eat it. My scallion pancakes were burnt black on one side, again I could not eat them. My egg roll was so overcooked it just broke apart on every bite and tasted like burnt toast. My Orange Chicken tasted like pure rice vinegar. I think they are too overwhelmed and their quality is suffering. It will be a while before I go back,...
Read moreI read the positive reviews and couldn’t wait to try their food. What a disappointment! My takeout order of moo shoo pork, shrimp fried rice and chicken wings was tasteless. I asked that the moo shoo be made a little hot. It was not. The pancakes were paper thin and couldn’t hold the moo shoo. They completely fell apart. I let the next two completely cool and dry out. They became so tough I couldn’t chew them and had to spit them out. Never saw anything like this before. The shrimp fried rice consisted of 14 small to medium shrimp mixed in very dry rice. There was almost no scallions, peas egg, celery etc. that you usually find in fried rice. The chicken wings had a light breading over heavy skin. One was broken up. No unique Chinese flavor at all. I added salt to everything it was so tasteless. Spend $30.43 on less than mediocre food. I’ve ordered these three items dozens of times at many different restaurants but this was...
Read moreI am so glad I took other reviewers advice to try Koyame Asian Express! Although it's a small restaurant they have plenty of seating inside as well as outdoor seating. I enjoyed the sweet pineapple fried rice with chicken. It was a great blend of sweet & mellow with a nice mayo sauce. A large portion; 2 meals for me. The Singapore mei fun-thin rice noodles with curry & soy stir-fried with egg, shrimp, Chinese BBQ and crunchy vegetables. Was delicious appetizing meal bursting with flavours. The Kung Pao chicken was spicy (yummy) with mushrooms, big fresh zucchini, carrots, onions and topped off with peanuts. It had excellent flavor, not swimming in grease 😀 The staff is super friendly & attentive.....even when we weren't ready to order(a group of 6 has a harder time making decisions). They immediately brought water & crispy noodles with dip while we waited. Overall, once again, a great meal(or 2) for a reasonable price. Thanks for...
