I visited this location some days ago, Friday. I was completely turned off by the way I was treated. Long story short I am of a darker hue and so is my daughter . I stopped by this location bc my daughter had the greatest day and I as her mom wanted to reward her.Driving up to the intercom we realized it didn’t work or no one was responding , either way we pulled up to the window and the manager decided to stare at us before, approaching it to ask what we wanted . This took all of 5 minutes of waiting . When he came to the window , instead of asking me what I wanted he found it professional to go back and forth with me as to why I didn’t use the intercom. I asked him who he was and with his broken English said I am the manaher. I told him so am I and he should not be on the front line. He then slammed the window in our faces . I sat there but he never came back to take our order, he just serviced cars through another door of the establishment. We left and as I drove home I explained to my daughter why she wasn’t able to get ice cream for the evening . Returning on Monday after day care pickup. we were able to use the intercom and drove to the paying window . To our surprise the same individual was there, when he realized it was me . He stared in shock and again took his sweet precious time to approach the window. When he opened the window I immediately asked him his name. Angry and beyond annoyed with his indolent attitude and poor customer service . He refused to give me his name responding by saying he don’t know his name .Furious, I parked my car and went inside the establishment and asked one of the workers his name and lord and behold it was shared .The dummy name is Cesar . What a clown, and a true waste of opportunity for the person who is being deprived of this position because he exist in it . Upper management dropped the ball on this one . Cesar’s existence is beyond an epic FAIL in...
Read moreIf you look through my reviews, you'll see I'm ALWAYS in Dairy Queen and I'm always reviewing the best and the worst. When I visited this Dairy Queen in The Woodlands for the first time, I immediately realized I hadn't even BEEN to the best before because THIS WAS IT!
So check this out. This is gonna be long, but I got time today. The only thing I get is blizzards, so that's what this review is about.
Since the 90s, I have been getting cone dip blizzards. Back then they called it chocolate chip. Then they introduced real chocolate chips and took mine off the menu so that changed the game a li'l bit, but for the most part most Dairy Queen staff still knew how to make it after I went into detail to describe it or pull up any of a half dozen pics on my phone so they can see how it's supposed to look.
Sometimes I might get fancy and add a li'l Heath or Butterfinger to it, which they either want to charge $1 extra for or they put in a few sprinkles at no extra charge. I'm used to that.
What I was NOT used to was pulling up in the drive-thru and ordering a cone dip blizzard with a little bit of Heath and hearing this Blizzard master tell me an easier way to order it is by ordering the Heath Blizzard and substituting cone dip for the fudge!! No extra charge! No extensive description required! No photo necessary! He was brilliant! Who trained this guy!?
So naturally I asked for the manager when I got up to the window, and I met Paula, who looked to me to clearly be the Queen of DQ management teams. I was really impressed by her, by the first guy and every single one of her team members I've encountered since, more so than during any of the hundreds of Dairy Queen visits I have had across...
Read moreBad bad really bad customer service. I downloaded the DQ Texas app, to get a free introductory blizzard of any size. I told them at the drive through I downloaded the app and was redeeming it for a free blizzard. They said to show it to them at the window. So I selected this store to redeem it at and hit redeem as I drove to the window. When I hit redeem, a QR code popped up and a countdown timer started in which I had to redeem the offer. When I got to the window the cashier tried to scan it but it didn’t work. They said they could not honor the QR code because it was the Texas app. He told me to drive to another DQ because they don’t honor that app. I told them their store was listed on the app as a redemption location. And I explained that there was a countdown timer which had already started in which to redeem the blizzard, and I wouldn’t make it in time to another location. But he still wouldn’t honor it. I asked to speak to the manager. There was not one on site. They called I believe it was Jose. He refused to honor it as well. Jose apparently told the employee that none of the woodlands DQs will honor the app. Well geez. Tell me that next time before I click redeem so I’m not out a blizzard guys. Not cool. P.s. don’t bother emailing them when they ask you to on google maps. It’s all just a big marketing ploy to make them look responsive. I did both before and after my review. And they...
