I canât comment on the food becuase we ended up walking out. We are new members of the country club so thought we would try the Tavern restaurant after a golf lesson. View is very pretty. Walked in and not greeted by anyone. I asked a male waiter across the bar if we just sit anywhere and he said yes. A waitress came up to us by the name of Anai to ask if we wanted a drink. We said just water and menu please. 10 minutes later no menu. No water. Only 2 other small tables of customers so not busy at all. Table next to us was seated already when we arrived and I could see they did not have drinks either so I got up and asked the waitress again who is now behind the bar doing who knows what if we could get a menu please and water. She handed me a menu and said she is âworking on getting us water.â We looked at the menu for another 10 minutes and still no water and no waitress. I got up again and went to her at the bar and she appeared to be organizing stuff at the bar and I asked her again for water please and she said she is working on that now. Sat back down and still no water so I went up a third time and getting annoyed questioned if this was going to be a long process because we have waited over 20 minutes just for water and the other male waiter said he could get them for me then Anai proceeds to laugh like this is funny. We decided best to just leave. No rating on food because they could not manage to get water to the table but canât be worth the torture Iâm pretty sure. Management needs to talk to Anai because she is slow and disrespectfulâŚvery bad first impression. Then I called and asked for managers name and she put me on hold forever looking...
Read moreThe location of this restaurant is nice since it has glass windows overlooking a golf course. The menu has many options, however, the food is just okay., I expected more in quality being in the center of a luxurious resort. We ate here twice, first having a brisket sandwich, which was good. Unfortunately, the coleslaw that comes with it is a 3/10 at best. A couple days later, It happened to be the only place we found open for breakfast on Sunday (we were the first and only customers at 8;45am). I ordered the Tavern breakfast including eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The eggs were prepared perfectly, the hash browns were frozen shreds that were lightly browned, so nothing special there. I requested sourdough toast (was told they had it) and received basic white bread toast. I asked if perhaps they made a mistake and he said it's sourdough. It most definitely was not. The butter cup served with the toast tasted as though it had been in the refrigerator uncovered, picking up taste from other things. Not good. For a resort, prices were fair, but I guess you get what...
Read moreThe Tavern offers a lovely view overlooking the resort grounds and driving range, with a comfortable setting typical of a hotel restaurant. Breakfast is surprisingly good and reasonably pricedâespecially if youâre an XLife member. Dinner items like the wings have also hit the mark. The wait staff is friendly and professional, though a bit reserved.
The biggest downside is the painfully slow service. While the staff does their best, the kitchen seems overwhelmed, possibly due to juggling room service orders alongside dine-in. Worth a visit for the view and decent food, but bring...
