Very nice resort but dated for the price and expectation of Curio Collection level resort. ||Limited number of luggage carts were available despite being early for checkin. ||Checkin parking is limited. Don’t park there long as it is both selfish for other guests but may get you ticketed. ||Parking is either $35 a day for Valet or there is a good amount of free parking but it is a hike from most rooms just not quite as far as some large resorts. ||Registration building is newer and modern vibe right next to the lobby bar atrium although seemed more of an afterthought. While checkout is supposed to be digits for Hilton Honors guests, because they make you return special pool towel cards or they charge you $25 each it forced an awkward line at checkout time waiting for one of only 3 staff to assist them. They should incorporate some sort of app driven towel claim instead of mixing digital and analog approaches. Not what I would expect of a purported “luxury” resort. ||Off of this building are some newer renovated rooms that abut the pond and I think some have golf course views but this building does not have direct access to the pools. ||As a gold member I was given an option for room upgrade.||Lakeside building pool patio wall out was ok, room was a bit dated and while AC was cold the fridge was tiny and the patio light broken. They did respond to my request and had it fixed the next evening. A lot of overgrowth making the walk out a bit rough and one area without any stepping stones at all to the walkway forcing walking over with wet feet and collecting dirt before entering room. Doors really old and no mechanism to lock from the outside kind of eliminating the true walk out benefit. ||Pools were nice, but need to get out there between 9:00 and 9:05 to stake claim on good seating. Water slides had varying speed so not really good for racing as advertised. Not good if claustrophobic. Slides drop into small holding pool that spills over into two small waterfalls into the lower main pool with a concrete slide that was a bit lame because it didn’t have any natural water flow when not right as someone exited the slides above.

Off of this building are some newer renovated rooms that abut the pond and I think some have golf course views but this building does not have direct access to the pools.
As a gold member I was given an option for room upgrade.

Read moreWell, I don't know where to begin... Just got back last night from a 1-night/2-day stay celebrating a teen's bday with some friends. This place is highly disappointing. I agree with a previous reviewer. The rooms are outdated. The lobby area is real nice, but the outside structure looks like an apartment complex and the inside rooms are nothing to boast about. We had two rooms with the breakfast package and paid $335.00 for one room and $354.00 for the other. For that price at similar "resorts" you will get a lot more value and amenities. The swimming area was small and the water was warm. The lazy river is verrrrrrry lazy... like, if you are not on the right side of it, you will float in place. It too is very small. There were two slides in the main pool area and one in the lazy river area, but that was about it. Food and drink at the pool area were grossly over priced, as always. A tropical, non-alocholic smoothie was $12... they are $6 at comparable places... I mean.. it is only fruit juice out of a carton and ice. The half bucket of chicken tenders was delicious and fed 6 people for a snack.
The game room was at the end of our building but it, too was small. There were two shooting games, two racing games, Guitar Hero and four or 5 "prize" games. The downside is that it closes at 10pm... I guess they don't get many kids staying here.
I did not play golf but with these rates??? I never will... It is a city course... good grief.
RATES Daily: $173 +tax (includes cart) Rental Clubs: $90 + tax per set Cart Fee: $23
Self park was free and close... much better than $38 for valet.
Breakfast at the Back Table was very good! Service at the restaurant was great... curious if lunch and dinner are as good.
Overall, the experience was nothing special.. but made you pay like it is something special. I absolutely hate "resort fees"... what are they for?? I parked my own car and if you feel the need to charge for wifi or TVs, then you need to amend your business model. At $35 per room... it is a scam. That will get you "free wifi"... but if you want premium wifi?? Well, that is another $5!
We did have an issue with the billing... if you reserved the breakfast package, they tell you to have the breakfast charged to your room and they will see it when you check out and cancel it out? Did this happen??? Nope... it took two days and calling them 5+ times before I could get anyone on the phone and then to realize the mistake and begin the process of refunding me the money. First of all... why don't you have vouchers and just settle up with the restaurant on your end? Why must I "settle up" on a package YOU OFFERED??? Second of all.... ANSWER YOUR PHONE!! I am not sure why the stupid robo-answerer cannot comprehend "front desk please"... but it took head banging against a wall before getting to a human who then transferred me... where I let it ring for 10 mins 23 seconds before hanging up. The parking lot was half empty when we were there... it is not like they were slammed.
So... will we go back... No. There is much better value and amenities for what they are charging. Stay at a regular place, go the mall and movies... you will get the same experience for much less. If they do ever revamp and update the place, then we may reconsider... but look... you cannot just charge comparable rates and say your place is "comparable"... that may work once, but that is it. We talked to the workers there... we know how dead the place is...
