Before I begin, I'll mention that we used to live near Oak Lawn before we came out to Grogans Mill. I used to eat out there every weekend with my sister, who's nonverbal (thyroid cancer) So I wasn't surprised by her reaction when I got us gift cards the day before Christmas. While nostalgia is a good thing, the service we received from one of your cashiers(PRISCILLA) at the Grogans Mill location was beyond deplorable. So my 19 year old sister looks like any other teenager, accept that she lost her voice to thyroid cancer 2 years ago and now communicates via her smartphone. We both went to the becks on grogans mill for Christmas eve, where Priscilla took her order. Almost immediately after she calls her up, some hipster looking Mexican kid rushes past my sister, and walks past the counter to talk to Priscilla, whose attention for some reason shifts automatically to him(really b? You love your homeless looking a** boyfriend so much that you're gonna forget that you have a f* order that just walked in front of you?) He was there for about 5 minutes talking with her before the manager intervened. I say this because it's basically Christmas eve, and this girls ability to prioritize was just defined by the fact that my mute sis and 12 other people wanted to order and she would rather shamelessly flirt in front of a crowd of hungry patrons. Why yall would hire these kinds of people down here is beyond me(Background checks are very lax over here as I found). I also want to make note of the way Priscilla addressed my sister(Helen Keller? Why so malicious? Issues with your stepdad justify being evil so don't have your bae scream that sob story bs point blank in my face just because you used the gift card she left behind by accident to by the both of you dinner.) Basically she stole my sisters gift card that I put $150 on just so she could feed herself and her boyfriend at my disabled sisters expense. I've already contacted this location. Apparently this girl is also a manager.(worked at Carl's Jr for five years so I see past that one B.) I'm notifying corporate tomorrow afternoon seeing as everyone on the bottom does what they want.(f a customer right?) If I get nothing from that, I'll file a report with the police. You have an employee who basically stole from a customer who can't even physically speak up for herself and nobody will do anything. We just wanted to eat and spend time together and we ended up being shafted by a couple of junkies. I'm appalled by all of this. Not eating there if you have people like her under your employment.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! My daughter had no idea what was going on until she went back into the restaurant. I'm sure a lot of you have kids of your own with their own problems. I hope you treat this as...
Read moreI want to preface by saying beck’s did kindly refund the take out order I mention below when I called, and assured me this was an accident, but because this has occurred several more times since, I am writing this review.
We love Beck’s because they have quick, healthy options. The problem we have is the portion size of any meat, and specifically chicken (fowl ball, Roberts chicken and veggies, chicken sandwich, etc.) the chicken breasts are smaller than any you’d find at a local grocery store. This is not a one time occurrence, we have continued to go back multiple times to see if it was just an accidental thing. For nearly $50+ for two people to get a chicken dinner, drink, and a shared side of fries at a fast casual location, the chicken should be enough for a full grown adult to be full. I find the plates are primarily large portions of sides and very small protein.
Photos are from a carry out order a few weeks ago and then dine in. The carry out breasts weighed were less than 3oz each. I feel like they’re splitting the breast and selling it as two separates, because the average chicken breast is 6-8oz cooked.
Just feels like a rip off when my husband finished the chicken in two bites, but the...
Read moreBecks Prime is our go-to place for a great hamburger. We have tried them all. We just can't find one to match the flavor or the consistent quality of Becks. The meat is cooked over wood and is cooked to order. The steaks have the same awesome flavor and quality. They also have awesome salads. Everything we have had here over the years has been good. The staff at this location do their best to make sure your order is cooked properly and that you have everything you need. The atmosphere has a nice laid back feel. You can sit and relax while you enjoy a great meal and not feel rushed. Sometimes you can watch the ducks as they come to visit up on the deck. That can be interesting too because Becks is pet friendly (yay) and sometimes the dog & duck interaction is very entertaining! Tip: when you go for the first time- in line on the wall before you get to the cash register there is a picture frame. Read the story. That will let you know how awesome the staff...
