This place is a joke. I have given them so many times to redeem my experience but this is the last straw. Today I called in my order when I can choose to eat anywhere but I choose this restaurant for the sushi. I picked up my two roll and miso soup order then half way home discovered my Mt Fuji roll a (cooked roll) looked like it had been transported upside down. All the spicy mayo was on the lid, I turned around left my Philadelphia roll in my hot car and went in to get them to replace it. Dominic was the one who was my cashier earlier and his excuse was "I put the roll with the soup so it would be kept warm" hello! My roll had water condensation in it and the topping was completely melted. I asked him to remake my roll and after a eye roll he left to tell the cook. I waited for 10 minutes then said how much longer my cold roll is in the car getting warmer...he said "I don't know I'm doing 3 different things here". As if multi tasking is somehow an excuse. Management you need to do a better job at training your staff on phone etiquette, manners and setting proper expectations with customers. He went to check and said "should be ready in 4 minutes" another 5 go by now by cold roll has been left my car for 15 minutes. I told him forget I have to go back to work and now lost $24.25 with no lunch option. By the way while I was waiting he doubly charged a customer twice because he didn't finish tendering the transaction before he walked away. These kids you have working there cannot do the job without being managed! Review your camera footage and get a MOD once a while. Don't go here for lunch there are other sushi places in town. With a few customers in the restaurant why can't your staff manage simple traffic flow. If I ran my business like this, it would be over...
Read more1 star is very generous for this location. I have been to the research forest location several times and always had an amazing experience. I happened to be in the neighborhood and brought my family into the Indian Spring location. A serious mistake that I won’t make again. Edamame tasted old, they served my daughter the wrong meal, had incorrect items on my plate of cold food (the waiter took the mistake plate and dumped the fried rice on my plate on top of the incorrect items that I was initially served), and gave my son half of his order. There was one other table with patrons when we arrived but all of the tables around the restaurant were all dirty for our entire meal (until they saw me taking pics.) The server was slow and became rude (rolling his eyes when I asked for a box). We asked for water for one of our kids and instead of getting him a new glass of water, he poured water into his soda glass. Terrible service. Old and cold food. Someone please come and inspect this place. The end experience was the best… I asked the waiter why they charged me a tip after the poor experience we had he said with a smirk “because we charge that to every party of 5 or more” and I said “even after the poor experience we had?!” They took one of the meals off (the meal that was wrong to begin with) then went on to charge me a tip for nearly the exact price of the meal. I admit, I was mad and left him a strongly worded note on the check which I kind of felt bad about until he came to my table to take the check book and snatched it out of my hand really hard. I have never had such poor service in my entire life! I was a server for years when I was younger and never would I ever treat customers the way this establishment did myself and my family....
Read moreWe used to love this place… something has changed and not in a good way.
Daughter ordered beef ramen and the beef was tough. I tried a piece and my very first bite was pure grizzle… that rubbery crunch as you bite into it… had to spit it out in a napkin. They are using cheap stew meat for their beef and haven’t taken the time to trim the beef of silver skin and cartilage.
Our sushi was just OK… but our waiter left right before getting our check, just up and left (got into his vehicle and drove away). After a few minutes looking around, a lady walked up acting like no big deal, gave us some story how he was in training under her this whole time, which is odd because servers in training normally are introduced by their head server… and servers who have a shift change normally notify the table they need to leave and so and so will take care of you now (appeared the guy up and quit).
After being asked if we needed anything else by the new lady, she got our check which had a females name on it (her) instead of the male who waited on us the entire time. I bet she was thinking she was about to get a good tip for doing absolutely nothing but asking 1 question after noticing we were left high and dry by our waiter who...
