Big Mike's BBQ Smokehouse — Restaurant in Thibodaux

The smoked meats are phenomenal. That said, the last 3 times we have visited, the service has been lacking. Today my husband and I came by at around 2. It was busy. His food was delivered to the table. One of our boudin was delivered about 10 minutes after his meal. My meal came about 15 minutes after my husbands and the other boudin came after we finished, so we took it home. My husbands rib sandwich was 3 ribs he had to take the meat off of to put between two slices of bread. If it wasn’t for having to make his own sandwich, he would have been completely finished with his meal before mine even came. The 2 visits prior to that they were out of wings which it why we drove 45 minutes to get there. The wings are amazing. We ordered our next favorite and the same delivery of the food as today. Thought it was a fluke. You go out to eat not to watch the other eat and then have them watch you when your meal shows up15-20 minutes after the first. That same visit we had to ask for our dessert and it was placed on the table in a package straight out of the refrigerator. Good food is everywhere in Louisiana so service...

I ordered curbside today. As ALWAYS, delicious! 8-19-22 Ribs, brisket & pulled pork! Coleslaw & a side salad. They were out of green beans. Excellent service! Ready in 20 minutes. Super nice employee. Very good experience! Glad I ate from Big Mikes today! You should try it!

Always a great meal. Service is fast! Employees super friendly! I usually order curbside or I go in to pick it up. But when I go in it seems to be a nice atmosphere. Sometimes it can be a little loud. They will have the music or a band playing and it can get loud. Many people probably like it that way. So, I’m not gonna complain, just order pick up and go. 😄 the food though is so good! I haven’t tried one bad...

June 30th, 2018 was our 1st visit to Big Mike's BBQ. What a refreshing menu. Delicious too. Pricing reasonable. 2 Adults. Pork Spare Rib from the BBQ Pit Plates section X 1 + a Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich from the Specialty Sandwiches. The BBQ Pit Plates came with 2 homemade sides. Specialty Sandwiches has homemade coleslaw. Baked beans + Baked Mac+Cheese are excellent. Homemade coleslaw equally good. The homemade breadpudding w/plum sauce was a satisfying finish to a good dine out. The real kickup: Meat. Pork Spare Ribs are succulently delicious. Pulled Pork Sandwich is excellently done. Ended up ordering 1/2 lb Smoked Turkey to go. Smoked Turkey is done to perfection. Use the leftovers to make a Turkey Cheese Omelete. Some were chopped up for the fur-baby;) What a Welcome Eat-Out addition to Thibodaux. We'll definately be back to sample the rests...
