Rotolo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Thibodaux

I got the Maui wowie Hawaiian pizza. It was good but it didn't give that punch that I was looking for. Service was good; however, it was clear that the servers were understaffed as it took 15 to 20 minutes from when we sat down for someone to take our drink order. That said it only took another 15 minutes for us to get our drinks appetizers and main courses to our table. This would have been a five-star review if someone would have just took our drink order sooner. Again I don't blame our waitress for this, because it was very apparent that they did not have enough staff in the front...

I really do love this place but it's been hit or miss lately. Last time I ordered 2 large specialty pizzas to go, that was $50! I expect better quality control than a national chain pizza. Our pizza barely had any toppings. Looked like they were lazily thrown only in some spots. The crust was lopsided. Some slices were hand tossed and some were thin crust. Ordered light sauce only sauce in the center! No bueno. It was a Friday night and around 7pm so I know they were busy. No excuses for that. I didn't even bother calling to complain. Some days you just get lucky! Emileigh’s energy was amazing and combined with her service frankly, made the meal. She greeted me at the door, brought the drinks and had numerous suggestions for lunch. I went with her chicken parmigiana suggestion and it was fantastic. Finished off with a brownie and ice cream. Service was great and energy that lights up the room. Indoor and outdoor seating looking over the water. Young ones feeding the ducks down below. Great size bar , friendly staff. Plenty of parking. No doubt I’ll be back to visit...
