Owner need to check on his investment! Our food was horrible and by the time we got some seasoning for our ground burger our food was cold. All we wanted was a nice Mexican meal what we got well, I’m sorry to say… Taco Bell would have been a much better choice Since when are taco salads, burritos or enchiladas made with no Mexican seasoning in the ground beef. After 10 mins and 2 people who seemed to barely understand English and a manager needing to step in to understand and explain. The manager explained to us we had to ask for seasoning for our Mexican food. The look on my face had to be priceless because I had never heard of such a thing in my life!!! All I could say was bring me a bowl of taco spice then and we will season our own food. What was brought tasted like straight lawrys seasoning salt. No cumin taste at all. If it was a supply chain issue that’s all they had to say. That we would have understood. But to tell us that Mexican food comes with no spice? SMH!!! The only pleasant thing of our dinner was the staff, they were very nice but man what a mess this place is!!! The waitress was new and told us up front her English was not good but we were willing to work with that. We could have understood getting something we didn’t order because of language issues but what comes out of the kitchen is what make a restaurant successful. I can say that one of the kitchen staff I could see through the swinging kitchen door, sat on his butt on his phone the the entire time we were there. I sure hope he was googling recipes for taco, burrito, and enchilada seasonings or this hamburger joint will be out of business very soon. The pre meal salsa was excellent so if you want a few drinks and a snack this is your place. If you want Mexican food I’d recommend somewhere else. Because what we were served was not Mexican and we shelled out 40 bucks plus tip. What a waste of money tonight. We will not be returning to this business nor any of the restaurants in this chain. Taco Bell offers better Mexican food for half...
Read moreWanted mexican food tonight and tried Coco Loco. Very disappointed. We sat down and waited 15 minutes just to get a waitress to take out beverage order. thought the prices were a bit high. $20 for single Shrimp Fajitas and 36 for 2. We ordered our food and the waitress disappeared. watched other people that came in after us getting food while we waited. When we finally received our meals, they only served 3 of the 4 meals. When I finally found the manager and asked if we were getting out other meal, it took another 10 minutes and the plate was hot, but not the food. I ordered Shrimp Enchiladas. I received a plate full of rice, 3 tortillas with 4 shrimp in them and nothing else with cheese sauce over them. the tortillas were soggy and rubber. it was nasty. nothing else on the plate. When I asked about it, I was told that is what Enchiladas are. a tortilla with meat. nothing else. We never did get a second basket of chips because the waitress was busy standing with the others waitresses and manager at the checkout or on the other side of the restaurant serving other people. We will not be going back. over prices and the food left a lot to be desired. Applebee's has better food and service for a better price. We should have just left when we had to wait...
Read moreService and atmosphere here are great, but the food is lacking!! Ordered the carne asada tacos on corn shells. I also ordered a beef taco and tamale to compare to other Mexican spots I've been to. The taco tasted like the one you would get from the ponderosa buffet, lacking flavor. The tamale had hardly any meay in side with a thick exterior of masa, topped with ground beef and cheese to try to save them. Wouldn't order either one again. Tha asada was pretty tender, but bland. Taste like it was cooked on a griddle and not an open fire or grill. Salsa was fine, but no distinct flavor to set it apart from others. Rice was ok and didn't touch the beans. The bar area was really nice,so I ordered a Virgin Pina Colada to taste the flavor. I was given some daily drink mix with a splash of pineapple juice. Mids, won't order again even with the alcohol. Overall the food was not the worst I had, but definitely not in the runners up for the best either. Worth a try, just not by me again. Nice place probably to have a drink and the food will taste better after a few tequila shots!!! Thanks for the experience!!!...
