We went in with our teenage niece, who has a serious nut allergy. After looking, she decided not to risk it because of cross contamination worries. The young lady who was helping us overheard our conversation and let us know that they could get her ice cream from a new tub in the back so that there would be no concerns. She gave us a list of our options and then when another employee came to help out, she reminded her to use a new scoop as well. Behold shop #2, after Midland, making a great addition to our community. An ice cream shop set up previously in this location and failed to make a go of it (much to our disappointment). This is an enterprise that has the look and feel of an old-time ice cream shop with permanence. The selection board shows a hint of priciness, but the ice cream is produced privately and is of high quality. Flavor selection varies by day, so don't expect to find your favorite again when you return another day. But that's OK! You always need a new favorite, anyway. I'm looking forward to...

I am sad to rate this so low however I have found the quality of service has declined this year compared to other previous years. First off the greeting and customer service is pretty flat and lacking care and personality. Secondly we ordered a malt recently and it was basically a cup of milk. It was so thin and watered down it was not enjoyable. The ice cream flavors are still pretty good and I love the idea behind them being local and supporting that however I think the business could use some love and support. I hope...
