Roberts Community Park — Attraction in Thomas Township

Mainly rating 5 stars because they recently put in a disc golf course! Great place to come and have a fun time with family! It's kept clean and tidy! The groundskeepers do a great job during the summer on mowing and keeping things looking nice for families! I'm not sure if things have changed since I've been there but there's a hidden disc golf course that runs long the trails in the woods. There's not a clear path to it either. The directions to it are between the pond and the walking trail in the woods. It's a great 9 hole course that has the potential to be one of the best 9 hole courses in the area! This park has excellent facilities. A large portion of its large territory is allocated to large-field sports, and includes a multitude of soccer fields as well as three softball fields. Also provided, in the SE portion, is a tot lot of climbing equipment, a large-area playground for busy larger children adjacent to a covered picnic pavillion with eating tables and charcoal grills for a large group, and daytime restrooms. Elsewhere are scattered covered small-group picnic tables with charcoal grills.The Thomas Township (this is not located in Saginaw Twp) doesn't scrimp in providing regular maintenance.

The large pavillion was destroyed in Summer 2013 by tornado-like winds that rolle the roof to one side like a sardene lid. This is under repair...

We had a company cornhole tournament here, at the first large pavilion. It's a beautiful place, clean and kept up well, with tons of room. The bathrooms right next to the pavilion were closed, which kind of sucked, but there is a very nice, clean, large bathroom with lots of stalls, just a short walk from the pavilion. It's a huge place, I believe it has baseball/softball and soccer fields as well. Somewhere on the property is a pond/small lake, but I didn't go far...
