Flannigan’s — Restaurant in Thomas Township

Me and my wife went to Flannigan's for the first time tonight. It was a little crowded on a Friday night. They play mostly 80s music, like The Police, Don Henley, etc. Cindy was our server. Her smile lights up the room. She was very attentive and was fast with drinks and checking back with us. We ordered the Southwest egg rolls for an appetizer. They were crispy, flaky, and hot. Delicious with the chili sauce they came with. My wife got the Reuben with fries and I got the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. Everything came out in a decent amount of time, hot and flavorful. We had to cut them up they were such huge sandwiches! The fries were to die for. Crisy and seasoned on the outside. Cooked to golden brown perfection. The inside was tasty potato, slightly soft. We just had water and a Sprite. It was a really good experience for us. Well definitely...

I used to eat here regularly and for the most part enjoyed it. Then while eating a pizza my mom found a piece of plastic. We called and talked to the manager they apologized and they replaced the pizza. That was perfect, you know... Mistakes happen, it wasn't a big deal. Then a month or two later, I had ordered nachos and had a few bites and bit into something hard, hard enough to crack and chip a tooth. It was a 2 in metal rod. I was obviously upset but talked to the manager rationally about it who said they would talk to the owner and do something about it. 2 weeks go by and I don't hear anything so call a few times, get blown off or told they're working on it. It has been around 3 years now... Never got any response.

Tl:dr I found metal in my food. it cracked and chipped my tooth and when I brought it up to the manager, they didn't...

Thursdays are “Reuben and a pint” days. That sounded amazing today, so I decided to give it a try.

First! The service; Cassi, my waitress was polite, helpful and friendly. She paid just enough attention! Didn’t go overboard, didn’t try to suggestive sell me, and put my order in quickly. My food was nothing short of perfect, prepared the way I asked (I love well done fries) and brought to me quickly.

Secondly! The portion is GREAT! I’m a very large man at 6’7” and well over 200lbs. I was pleasantly full at the end of my meal.

And thirdly, most bars are way too loud in my opinion. Not Flannigans at lunch time! The perfect volume. Enough to make you feel welcome. Not so much to distract conversation.
