I use to be a regular here coming at least 5-6x/week, for 4 years straight. It was where I went to grab a cold beer & relax after work, literally almost every single day. It was my second home. I brought friends & my significant other in to support the business & hangout on live band nights. The drinks are great & fairly priced and the food was always amazing. Sadly I’ll be giving it a one star simply for the actions & behavior of the waitstaff.

Never have I went somewhere being treated so horribly after YEARS of being a regular. This doesn’t count for all the waitstaff, there’s a good handful that I still respect & always offered amazing service with a friendly attitude. However a good majority of the bartenders think they run the place. There was an incident where another regular was complaining of me smelling like marijuana, and the bartenders took it onto themselves to scold me & my lady in front of everyone else (which those same regulars complain about literally everything like the lights being too bright & the live band being too loud, to the point where the bartenders immediately turn the lights down for them the second they walk in the door). Yes I smoke marijuana which is 100% legal, & it’s no one else’s business what I do on my own time. That shouldn’t even be a complaint especially with all the things I’ve witnessed over the years.

When the issue of my marijuana use was brought up, I simply brought up other things they should be concerned about, like the sexual harassment going on from customers to others and even to certain staff & the disgusting comments other older regulars make towards people, the coke šŸ“ use in the men’s bathroom on multiple occasions that I’ve witnessed (& when brought up was said that it’s fine that it’s done because it’s done in a stall away from people) Yes, the bartender literally said that to me. Yet my legal substance has become a problem even though waitstaff & regulars have gone out for cigarettes & come back smelling like it. I’ve witnessed people driving home drunk after being served way too many drinks, etc. Yet I’m the one who is impaired..There’s a lot that goes on here that would surprise people & the fact that I got reprimanded over marijuana really irks me. Not once have I ever complained of anything mentioned above, I simply had my beer & minded my business. I’m an adult that is doing something 100% legal & not once did the manager ever say something to me. It always came from the bartenders which in my opinion, is way above their pay grade seeing something they also like to complain about is what people tip them.

The food & drinks are Amazing here, just definitely not a place I’d ever bring a child to considering the other kinds of stuff being done & them not caring about it when brought up. There is absolutely no need to be telling someone what they can & can’t do on their OWN time, especially when it’s legal. The attitude with the waitstaff needs to change before ever stepping foot in this place again. There have been other reviews left saying they cater to certain people, & thats definitely true. Good food & drinks don’t mean a single thing if the service is...

This seafood restaurant also offers live music and a musician we know was playing there Friday night so we went over to have dinner and see his performance. A surprise for us was another friend of ours had been called to add another guitar to the band and sing. They put on a fun show.

The restaurant was crowded and we were early for our reservation but they found us a booth in the dining room that wasn't a popular choice, but it was fine with us. We had two double cocktails and looked over the regular and specials menus. Offered on weekends, I decided to get the prime rib, medium rare, baked potato and mixed vegetable medley of the night. My partner chose a combination platter of fried clams and shrimp with french fries and an appetizer of steamed clams.

For those that read my reviews, you know ordering steamed clams is iffy to me because I never think they're done properly, and I only recently had an exceptional serving of these a few weeks ago in a fish place not by the shore, that thankfully reminded me how wonderful steamers can be. That said, Crabby Al's were like most restaurants, dry and chewy. I passed after trying a couple and my partner ate the rest.

Our main dishes were both very good, however. My prime rib was cooked as ordered, juicy and full of meaty flavor. The baked potato was fair and the vegetable medley was decent. My partners fried clam strips and Gulf shrimp combo were lightly battered, crispy and plentiful.

For once we got dessert. Chocolate cake with whipped cream decoratively on the side and chocolate syrup. With two cups of coffee, it was just what we were looking for to enjoy the band another two hours.

Regrettably, I lost a plastic card there probably taking photos. Calling the restaurant the next day they said nothing like that was in their lost and found. People these days don't seem to return things they find that aren't theirs and clearly important. I always do, as do the people I know, but in public places it's...

Another bad experience at Crabby Al's. I have eaten at Crabby Al's a few times in the past and was never happy but since it has been a while I decided to go again with some girlfriends since they wanted to try it. I always believe in second and third chances but never again. Each time I go I always tried the seafood. I ordered fried whole belly clams and shrimp platter at market price. It came with coleslaw and fries. I asked it instead of the fries I could have a baked potato. Waitress told me it was an up charge. That's crazy. A baked potato is cheaper and easier than the trouble making fries. But I went with it. My shrimp and whole belly clams were very over fried. No moisture in them at all. I should have sent them back. They were like that the last time I went there also. And the whole belly clams have a seasoning to them that I just didn't like. Maybe if they were cooked right they would have been ok. The coleslaw was awful. No taste to it at all and very dry. My girlfriend ordered a stuffed fish dish. I think it was a stuffed scrod or cod. She only ate 1/2 of it and said she didn't like it. Didn't even take the rest home. The martines were good. The waitress was just ok. The place is clean and generally nice and very casual. If you are going in for a drink and socialization you are fine, but I would not recommend ordering the seafood. I don't know why people like going there. Maybe because it is like a local pub style bar/restaurant. They have entertainment on some weekends which is a draw. Hope they consider new cooks and retraining the waitresses to be a little happier. Hope this...
