I walked in on a Tuesday night at 7:45 and asked for a pizza and cheesy bread. I was informed that it would take 45 minutes. Nobody else was waiting in line. Three people were working. There were two other cars in the parking lot. I was exhausted after working a 12-hour day, and I chose Little Caesars because, typically, these little pizza factories are fast. (I was in Thomson for work. I’d never been to this location, and won’t ever go back.) I asked why it would take so long as I could clearly see plenty of food in the warmers, and was told that they don’t keep the items I ordered that late. Seriously? I know it doesn’t take 45 minutes to make this stuff. And 7:45 p.m. isn’t very late. This place closes at 10:30.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly certain people don’t go to Little Caesars because it’s the best pizza in town. Rather they go for the “hot and ready” items. I would have been fine with waiting 10-20 minutes, but it was pretty obvious by her tone that the woman wasn’t interested in making my order - well, her tone and the simple reality that, barring lack of effort, there is no way it takes 45 minutes for three people in a kitchen full of food and hot ovens to make a pizza and cheesy bread.
I worked in an Italian restaurant for several years where we made fresh dough daily and hand tossed all of the pizzas. I worked as a server and a cook. Even with fresh dough it takes a maximum of 15 minutes to toss, top, cook, slice, and box a pizza. Any sort of bread or cheese bread is much faster. That was my experience on a brick oven at 600 degrees Fahrenheit. I guess if you’re baking pizzas at 200 degrees and took several smoke breaks while it cooked, it might take 45 minutes. It’s not rocket surgery. Besides, any rocket surgeon worth his weight in dingleberries could probably make a pizza and cheesy bread faster than this Little Caesars on Tuesday nights.
A few minutes after I was basically told I’d get my order around the same time as the second coming of Jesus Christ, I cancelled and drove to the Domino’s up the road where I ordered essentially the same thing, and it was ready in 13...
Read moreJust visited the Thomson, Little Caesars location… The parking lot indicated that they were not busy however going through the drive-through I found myself sitting there for 10 minutes straight without anyone coming to the window. I looked up the hours just in case they were closed and they were open. There hours are 10:30 am - 10:00 pm & I arrived at 2:00 pm…there’s no reason to treat customers like this, to keep them waiting when you know they are there is super unprofessional. I completely understand if you have a valid reason to not serve anything (in case of emergency or etc) but this wasn’t the first time and if you had a valid reason, it’s important you let the customer know...
