Tonight a friend took me out for a drink locally. We ended up at Bullseye. We walked in. I sat at a slot machine to play. It was a row of 6 with 6 chairs. All were empty. I sat my purse in the chair next to me. I begin to Play slots for about 18 minutes. The white man playing pool approached me...telling me to move my purse he was actually reaching for it. I grabbed it quickly. He said somebody might want to sit there so put it in your lap or on the floor. I shuffled to move it.....but nothing worked favorably. Not The floor or my lap.....so I decided to put it back in the empty chair next to me.
He rushed towards me reaching for my purse again. He said no....move it. I replied “ I’ll move it if anyone comes to sit. He grabbed it. He said it’s my chair slapping the seat with his hand repeatedly. He said I’m sitting here. I cashed out my ticket after a small argument to leave he said good leave. I asked him who he was. He said I am the owner.
I went to the main bar to pull away my party. I asked the 2 bar waiters his name and position. They confirmed. He tried to validate the owners actions to me by further explaining. We left.
I can see that He was angry with me. I was also thinking aggressive with me with his hand motions. Also the look in his face was intimidating. He actually flipped his backhand encouraging me to leave.
Never have I ever felt this way. Or have been treated this way. Discrimination. Aggression. Unfairly. On the Facebook profile for this bar....there’s videos of people with belongings in chairs. There’s a video and pictures of a biker gang congregating there blocking the sidewalks and street. Clearly the direction for organizational recreation is geared towards favorable circumstances. It’s chosen for. Not equal to everything. Yes...I am a black woman.
I will take this even further by inquiring about it with the City of...
