Chicago's Chicken Shack- Lansing, IL — Restaurant in Thornton Township

When This place first opened up, Everything was nice, I been a Returning Customer since This Business been ReOpened, I always Patronize this business and have Large Orders, I Request for Extra Coleslaw, SO MANY PEOPLE NEVER EVEN WANT THERE COLESLAW, I Know cause! I sits the lobby when I waits on my order when those who calls in and picks up there order and tells them they dont want there coleslaw, So it should not be nothing for this PLACE TO GIVE You a couple extra coleslaw, I SPEND BETWEEN ROUGHLY 30$ TO 50$ Every Visit, The Lady at The Register gets petty and ONLY GIVES ME ONE EXTRA Even when I spends 40$ and 50$ SHE IS SO PETTY😡, And Yesterday on Friday when I went, She GOT EVEN MORE PETTY AND SAID THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR EXTRA COLESLAW😑, And I'm someone who usually Buys 2 and 3 Dinners, The Lady Energy at The Register Attitude has Changed SHE ISNT PLEASANT ANYMORE, and I DONT FEEL LIKE A VALUABLE CUSTOMER NO MORE when it comes to her, The Other Younger Cashiers Is More Friendly and ACCOMENDATING then her, I been reading other Reviews what other Customers been saying about her, and I can Attest that they are Correct, Cause I always Patronize this Business and I have been a witness about her Attitude for a while now, So she cant say what I said isnt Accurate, She's BEEN DIFANTLY COMING OFF AS SOMEONE HAVING TOXIC ENERGY LATELY, I'M USUALLY VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER! But with an Attitude like her's Lately, That will Make Me Not want to be a Returning Customer, I Prefer to Spend my Money where Im Appreciated and someone who doesnt BE PETTY WITH THERE...

This chicken is seasoned so well amd fried perfectly, no sauce is needed. I loved the chicken and the service was amazing. Will be back!

Update. Really loved my experience up until today. I placed an order online. Picked it up. Got home and could taste that the chicken was either fried in old greased or fish oil. Whichever. Also began having a slight allergic reaction. I could tell the fish taste and the smell. I call to let them know and ask to remake.

The lady immediately becomes defensive stating that it's not true. There grease is separate and the oil is fresh. Im like having an allergic reaction to something. My boyfriend also tasted it and agreed it was off.

I hear her repeating what I said to the cook and I hear him becoming defensive as well.

I ask to speak to him, he states the something in a defensive tone.

I've had been a repeated customer over and over. I literally was trying to come to a solution with them.

Now I won't be back. This was ridiculous.

Update Again.

This just keeps getting worse. I'm trying to get a refund through spot-on. They need the store on the phone to give authorization to process it. So I call the store explaining that.

The cook starts asking me about my allergy reaction. How did I know and I know and stuff.

That is inappropriate. I've been here too many times. I'm not trying to get over on you. If it was an honest mistake I just wanted it fixed. I'm doing a charge back and never interacting...

I stop by looking for the Harold's which is no longer there. I was like oh they are new. The lady at the counter seem to be pleasant. I stated how I always order my chicken, salt pepper n mild sauce. The lady states they don't put salt on their chicken, it tastes cook without and has a great batter. She stated i can add my own salt. Ask if I wanted lemon pepper n I said yes. I also order okra. I order it to b fried hard! The lady said it will take 17mins. The lady does not call out any orders, u have to come back to the counter. There's not much to write home about. They serve kool-aid as it's only beverage(know really how to cut the cost) and thats one of the few I notice. After waiting, seeing ppl come and go. I checked on my food, which was already done. I thought it was done! Remember she said i cn add my own salt!. The chicken had no flavor and was not fried hard! The okra was not fired hard but taste better than the chicken. Smdh.
