Frank's Pizza House — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Even when I left there yesterday I did not think I would have to write a negative review however even though the pizza tasted excellent and the place was super chill and nice...

Well... about 45 min later my stomach was giving me warning signs that though I was done eating the pizza, the pizza wasn't close to being done with me. 2 1/2 hours later was the start of 3 puking sessions accompanied by stomach cramping pains.

My buddy who came in with me who shared the pizza he didn't have the same symptoms but more on the back end type symptoms, if you catch my meaning.

I didn't get to sleep till 3am.

I'll take this review down if the proprietors respond to this, assuring the public that temperature checks on the freezers, fridges, and refrigerated prep tables have been completed, the supplier of the meat has been notified, and that the staff has been retrained on how to safely store and handle meat.

I actually have a very strong stomach and it takes a lot for something to make me puke so I imagine I'm not the only person who is affected by possibly the sausage? Highly doubt it was bad cheese more likely it was the sausage?

With all that said I understand that some of the best restaurants out there have bad days where things like this happen and I will be giving this pizza place another shot some time down the road, as long as this review has been replied to adequately.

If you're still reading this more than likely they haven't replied yet or they haven't replied with a satisfactory list of things that they have done to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

I ordered two pizzas on January 1 of this year, I received 2 extremely Burt pizzas! I called back to complain and the girl that I spoke to said all she could do is give me 10 percent off, I told her that I did not agree with that since I threw 1 pizza away. She did offer to send me two more that same day but I refused because it was already 10:30pm. Then she said that she would talk to the owner and call me back to let me know how he would handle this. She called me back 2 days later and told me that I would get 50 percent off my next order. Today I had the worst experience ever, with FRANK’S PIZZA, I placed my order and informed the man taking my order that I had a credit of 50% off my order. He then told me that there was no way anybody could have told me that because he would fire them on the spot because he was the owner. I then said that it was ok and didn’t want the order he told me end of discussion that he would just give me the 50% off. I then told him never mind and that I didn’t want to place my order, then he said

GO SCREW YOURSELF LADY, and hung up on me!

IF IN FACT HE WAS THE OWNER, HE HAS VERY POOR CUSTOMER SKILLS, VERY RUDE, AND OFFENSIVE!!!!

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...

We have been loyal customers for 2 years. We gave this place a try on a whim and weve never looked back. Yesterday we ordered through Slice for delivery and the order was cancelled due to no drivers. We love Franks and we called and asked if we could pick up instead. The order was made and no issues when pickup. Today I received a call I did not expect and it was a personal call from manager expressing his apologies for not having a driver. He was not feeling well so he was not there and the driver on staff decided to leave early. He assured me that shouldn’t have happened and personally apologized for the inconvenience and hoped that we would continue to purchase from them! I assured him we loved franks and would continue seeing them. Things happen and running a business is not linear so we understand when things go wrong! Weve ordered so many times and never had an issue and the one time that there was a minor inconvenience a personal call was not expected but sure was appreciated.
