The employee attending the cash register was on his phone and only put it away to physically use the register. He even coughed slightly while using his phone and never covered his mouth. Disgusting! He returned to his seat and after a few minutes went into the food prep area and grabbed the pizza peel by the handle. He swung it slightly back and forth while contemplating something (possibly if the pizza was ready yet). He then took my order out of the oven and placed it into an open box. He used the pizza cutter to cut the pizza and then used the peel again to place the pizza into the pizza box. He closed the box and placed it onto the counter.
The only reason I didn't request a refund was because it he never touched my food with his hands, and someone asked me to buy it for them. He never- never washed his hands, nor used hand sanitizer, nor used gloves.
Another person who seemed to be solely responsible for preparing the food never changed gloves after leaving the food prep area multiple times. She went into a room (possibly a walk-in refrigerator) that required using a door handle. She grabbed the handle with a gloved hand and returned to food prep. She also used the same peel used by the cashier who again- never washed his hands or used gloves. She went back to the food prep area to prepare more food. I never saw her washing her hands, nor using hand sanitizer, nor changing gloves.
There were large pieces of food on the floor near the walk-in. It looked like spinach. Someone out of eye view was talking loudly and used the n-word to refer to someone else as part of a casual conversation. He was not Caucasian, so it wasn't racial- however, it is totally inappropriate at any time and ESPECIALLY in the workplace. There is no way that I will ever patronize this establishment again. And while it is a favorite of some relatives of mine, I cautioned them against ever going here again. I don't need coupons, or anything else. Having my money back would be nice, but I understand that you live and learn, so I can move on with the knowledge...
Read moreTruly saddened that a local restaurant within the community provides such shameful customer service. We ordered a semi-large pizza order today for employee appreciation day, entered our address as it is listed on our building and the driver claims she could not find us. I also work in fast food, which is where the order was supposed to be delivered, so I was unable to respond to texts or calls. I eventually called them back to be told they could not find us-mind you, our address is clearly listed on our building and we only have one building, not super hard to find. I was told they would re-deliver, when I asked for an eta, I was told by "manager" Eric that he was unsure as he only had one driver. I kindly asked for the order to be remade since there was not an estimated time of delivery. Eric proceeds to hang up...when I call him back to explain that was extremely rude and inconsiderate he said it was my fault for not listing a business name, Eric, that was not an option when I placed the order-had it been, I would have. AND you should NEVER put blame on a customer for a mistake with your delivery driver. My request seemed fair, if you do not have adequate staff to deliver the order and you do not have a time frame for delivery-the food should absolutely be remade. I again, explain this is for EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY-I cannot serve them cold and old food, he snaps back and says "I am not remaking it, I will cancel the order." Eric, you have extremely horrid customer service skills and I am appalled that a franchise owner would allow someone like you to run an establishment. Eric didn't want to hear anymore and hung up TWICE, but before he hung up, I advised that we would be contacting corporate, Eric's response was "go for it!" I soon realized why Eric was so nonchalant, because there is no corporate number or email to notify anyone of the bad service they receive. I really feel bad for anyone who has had to deal with this and was also unable to contact someone to rectify the issue. Marco's Pizza and manager Eric need...
Read more8:35PM Order time 8:40pm Order started cooking via app info 10:00PM Delivered (ordered for asap, not ahead.)
They were doing so so great for awhile. About 2 or 3 months ago it began getting very hit or miss again, I stopped ordering. Recently I recieved a come back voucher. I figured why not try one more time, maybe they will be doing good again. I ordered the pizza with a sub and soda.
I ordered around 8:35pm. The ETA for deliver 9:30 (far longer than it first said). After no further updates or changes on the app and with no delivery made, I began to worry. It was far to late for ordering anywhere else or even to cook a full meal for my (then) ticked off hungry family, including a toddler who just wanted a slice of pizza (which is a treat.)
I call over 10 minute's on hold. Finally one very rude sharp toned employee, who came off highly annoyed was telling me without a moments hesitation "we are done taking orders for the night." I said nicely " that actually isn't why I'm calling; I'm looking for an order I placed over an hour ago". She responded again very meanly/rudely "It's on the way we have one driver".
TONE SAYS ALOT! I get it you work in the restaurant industry it's exhausting, I do get how daunting the work is. HOWEVER HOSPITALITY AND KINDNESS IS WHAT KEEPS THAT JOB FLOWING AND RETAINS CLIENT'S!
My pizza arrived 10pm. It was freezing cold and rock hard. My "Well done sub" was soggy and not toasted or anything I specified during the order. It just a plain sub bun with a scrapped up burnt soggy old 3 inch long "cheese crisp" sitting right on top!
I would rate them a one at this point if the innocent deliverly driver being ran under and exhausted wasn't so sweet. I felt horrible for her, she did her best.
That online survey for feedback with cheesy bread does not make up for what happend. Not by a long shot. That pizza and sandwich should not have even been delivered at that point after sitting that long. It should have...
