Most importantly, the food is good.

But God help you if you need to speak to anybody that works there.

I have ordered takeout from this place three times since they opened. Every time, the food has been good.

And every time, the staff has somehow managed to ruin the two minute experience of picking up food.

The first time, I showed up before the food was ready, and asked if I could have a drink at the bar while I waited. It required three staff people to discuss, to decide whether or not I would be allowed to have a drink at the bar – which I was paying for – while I waited. Despite the fact that if I had come in for a drink, I of course would have been seated.

The second time, I paid ahead online, but I asked a friend to pick it up for me. That friend refers to me as Katie, a very common and well-known nickname for Catherine. But because that friend asked to pick up food for a Katie and not a Catherine, they would not let him take the food, even when he had my last name and explained the misunderstanding.

Third, I placed an online order tonight. They said it would be ready in 45 minutes. I showed up at 46 minutes. The food was ready, but it was cold. I asked how long it had been sitting out, since there’s chicken and for all I know it was sitting there for 45 minutes at room temperature, making it inedible. The person serving me acted like she couldn’t understand the question, so I’ve just paid $45 for food that I’m not sure will give me food poisoning.

I would hope that if you dine in, you have a better experience. But given the terrible interactions I’ve had every time I ordered takeout, I’m not interested in finding out if table...

My husband and I came here for dinner back on the July 11th. It wasn’t busy so there wasn’t a wait and the food was good. However, the young female waitress did not really acknowledge me which made things awkward. There were a few instances where she would only acknowledge my husband, and when I asked to get a Coke, she served it to him instead of me. Then later on, she came back to the table and said, “would you like a refill on your Coke, sir?” So my husband looked at me since I was the one who wanted it (he only got water) I said, “yes please,” and without making eye contact or anything, she turned away. When she brought the coke refill, she set it next to my husband. I am not sure if it is a cultural thing, but after asking family and friends, the consensus is that it was rude. It’s 2025. We’re in Colorado and female customers, such as myself, should not be ignored just because we are women. Again, the samosa and lamb vindaloo were delicious, but the service could have been a lot friendlier. It even made my husband feel uncomfortable. I gave the service two stars because it wasn’t horrendous and they acknowledged my husband, but it could have been so much better. I really hope the waitress was just having a bad day, but again, there were a few encounters where she addressed only my husband so we don’t think it was an accident. I hope this was a rare experience because the food was good and I think more people should try...

I would give this place 100 stars if I could.  We are so happy they're in the neighborhood, and have had a top-notch experience every time we have come in.  The food is outstanding.  The garlic cheese naan, the veggie samosas, and the chicken makhani are our family's favorites, but I have a feeling you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.  Happy Hour specials are GREAT, and it's a wonderful,  peaceful place to grab an after-work drink.

But here's the biggest reason we love Spice Kitchen: The PEOPLE.  Everyone from the owner, to the servers, to the kitchen staff is as kind as can be.  Our 3-year-old just delights in saying hello to everyone when we come in, and the openness and friendliness is equally reciprocated.  They truly take an interest in their customers and treat people so well.  I came in once without my daughter, and my server sent me home with a mango lassi, because she knows it's my child's favorite.  That type of personal thoughtfulness is just special, and we so appreciate having this spot in our neighborhood that is not only delicious, but feels like true community.  Thank you Spice Kitchen!...

The food here is mostly Indian but there is definitely a hint of the Nepalese in some of it. The food was great. None of it was bad but rather quite tasty and the spices in the air are distinct. When ordering and you ask for a spice (heat) level this place runs a little on the cool side. A hot is more akin to a medium. If you want hot then you need to ask for their homemade hotsauce to mix in and it will bring up the heat. The atmosphere was pleasant and I like all the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. I didn't care for the bar they had at one end. It felt like a nice restaurant that had been violated. It was completely out of place. Then they had a large TV showing a boxing match. I like boxing but again, it felt out of place. Lastly was the music which was a mix of American pop, modern and hiphop. It was an odd contrast of sensory inputs. All said and done, our service was excellent as was the food. We will come again for sure.

My doctor said to watch my cholesterol but he doesn’t live down the street from Spice Kitchen. He also said avoiding spicy foods would help with my reflux, so the fact that Spice Kitchens selection of food is available at any heat level makes it so that I can have any dish without fear of heartburn. Not that it matters for me, since I finished my wife, father and mother-in-laws medium heat dishes for them. I will buy Tums in bulk so long as Spice Kitchen is open for business. I suggest the Saag Paneer and Lamb Masala, soaked up with naan more efficiently than a fish in the ocean. The spices make it so unlike other Indian food I’ve ever had, that I doubt I’ll ever enjoy Indian food if I don’t eat it at Spice Kitchen. By the time I return within the next week, I’ll have sent written letters, e-mails and messages to Gordon Ramsay’s people to make sure they’ve heard of this place. And if he doesn’t like it, I’ll boycott Hell’s Kitchen.

I've been here 4 times since it opened, a mere 4 weeks ago. The food has been delicious and lots of drinks available to choose from. Their happy hour is extensive and according to the owner, will be expanding to include more options and deals. Their tiers of spiciness are there to offer anyone the amount of spice that you want. So far I have been very satisfied with a comfortable medium. Will likely ask for a bit more heat in my next order though. Definitely a great place to either try something new or get some of your favorites. I'm excited to try the garlic cheese Naan next time too. I've had the chicken Tikka masala, butter chicken and garlic Naan. All of which, delicious, and even tho I'm normally not someone that eats super spicy food, I think I'd recommend medium or more in general.
