My brother lives in the neighborhood, and has used Accurate Automotive for years. Never had anything less than exceptional service and extremely fair parts and labor rates. I bought a "beater truck" to commute to and from work. I knew it needed a mechanic. I mentioned this to my brother and he insisted that I bring it over here. He didn't realize the original owner sold out during Covid. Alex must have decided to keep the good name of the shop he purchased with such a great reputation. It worked for me. To the tune of $9,496.86. I asked them to look over this old 89 truck from bumper to bumper and let me know everything that is needed to make the truck proper. It's an old truck so I figured hoses were dry rotted and needed replaced, there was obvious issues with the transmission and the truck would stall in idle at a stop light from time to time, and when I fueled up, i had to reach under and hold up the filler neck to put the cap back on. Let me know if it's worth the investment of repairs, or cut my loses and search again. These guys then say all it needs is a rebuilt transmission ($5,180.63) a bunch of work on the front end (Tie Rod Ends, front shocks and alignment $1,376.73), a couple things on the left rear (replace brake drums and repack wheel bearing $2125.01) and then that fuel filler neck "bracket" ($330.00). They mentioned that the engine oil was non-existent so they filled it up and even put a "reminder sticker" on the windshield with the date and mileage of my next change. I agree since my brother speaks so highly of the shop and as soon as everything was approved and paid for, I go to pick up the truck after hours. I pulled out of the tiniest parking lot I've ever seen and wasn't more than a mile away before it was safe enough to test out the new alignment (since it pulled hard to the right) and I damn near made an instant left turn 90 degrees. Obviously something was missed so I took it back. They apologized and even went so far to replace a wheel and tire at no additional charge for some unexplained reason. Whatever...the alignment was proper, but now my speedometer is NOT working (it was before I brought it in). I asked my wife to let them know it was an issue but I needed the truck to get back and forth to work and my hours overlap theirs. I'll bring it in when I get a chance. Shortly thereafter, my radiator goes out. I have my buddy help put it in, but couldn't help but notice the transmission leaking oil and my exhaust pipe ends in the middle of the truck bed. Not sure how to get an emissions with that being the case so I call and talk with Courtney and let her know the issues. I'm checking fluid levels and making sure they are filled properly, so it isn't "urgent", but let me know when a loaner vehicle is available because I'll need to use that while they do the repairs. Nearly 2 months later, they finally have a loaner vehicle available for me. Mercy. I let them know about the speedometer not working, the leaking transmission, the exhaust pipe and now it's stalling again at stop lights. They send me an "estimate" to investigate why the truck stalls for over $300 and then to repair the leaking transmission at no charge. I decline the "investigation" after finding out from my brother that he has no clue who these new people are and that we are both sorry I followed through with any business with these guys. They say the transmission is fixed and the truck is ready to go. I drop off the loaner and get in my truck and once again the speedometer is not working. I turn around and go back in only to argue with Courtney about how she now claims for the first time to me that is was "in-op" when I dropped it off the first time. Well, if that was the truth, then why wasn't it on the original quote for initial repairs to make the truck "proper"? Why does the sticker that indicates when the oil was changed 1 mile less than what it actually reads (blatant proof) and they didn't even bother with the exhaust pipe. WOW!! Stay away from these guys...they are not honest. Save yourself...

Apparently the reviews on Google are a little misleading. It's either 1 star or 5. Seems a little fishy... When I dropped off my 2014 Buick Encore on 12/23/24, I was informed that the technicians would look into what codes were coming up on the check engine status and that I would be contacted to go over the issues that need to be fixed. Kelly and I spoke later in the day and needed authorization to dig into the vehicle a little more to have a better understanding if what is necessary is addressed properly. Fair enough. Kelly gave me the cost to do this and I agreed. She also said they would only be working 1/2 day on Christmas Eve but would try to have a plan before they left for the holiday. Kelly did call me back to let me know what they needed to do...to the tune of 4-5000$. This is a decision I don't make without going over it with my better half. I said I would be in touch with them on Thursday at the beginning of the day if I want the car back or to do the work. Kelly agreed and said if they did do the work they could work on it Thursday and have it back on Friday. We decided to just take the car back so I could research other options. Thursday morning I called a little too early but left a message. I had not heard anything for about an hour so I called and again except this time, the outgoing message said they would be out of the office until the 30th. This is not what Kelly told me so I was unable to move forward on my end and was without my car for a couple of business days and the weekend. This is not acceptable customer service by any means. I made sure the message was clear to have the car put back together on Monday. Kelly did call me on Monday and that they got my message and that the technician would start work. I asked roughly how long so I could schedule with the rest of my day and my employees and she said by 5pm. It didn't take that long to take it apart so I didn't understand why it would take all day to put it back the way it was. I decided to call around 1pm to check status and the technician I spoke with said it was ready. No one called me...I called....Picked up my vehicle and paid the fee for taking it apart and drove it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion. This is where I hope people read this review to have an understanding why the review is so long and that they should go elsewhere for their vehicle maintenance needs. The other mechanic had told me he had to do a lot to clear several codes related to things not put get put back together properly, electrical connections not installed or installed improperly and so on before he could tackle the actual problem. This was either crappy work on Accurate's end or a way to ruin my vehicle even further and be forced to have them do the work. Either way, it could have been really bad from what the other mechanic told me.
I've read responses to these reviews and don't feel a simple apology or scripted jargon that looks the same on almost every response to reviews, good or bad, would be sufficient so I hope someone takes the time to correct this type of customer...
Read moreDo not go to this place. It's absolutely a scam. I went in for a huge oil leak that literally drains out everything in one day like an oil spill. They said it could be literally "anything" and had to fix all possible places. They literally replaced everything that didn't need changing, like Power Steering, the main engine gasket at the top(where there's no signs of actual leaking, or at the most, it had dry stains). They called me to pick up the car, it still had the massive leak, the reason I went in for. I had to pay about $3000 for things that didn't even need to repair, and the massive leak still wasn't fixed and had to pay again to fix the leak for about $1000 the second time. Note that all I wanted was the leak repaired, and for whatever reason, they pulled out all my tires and said my brakes were getting thin, when I didn't even ask for it, and the guy I spoke to on the phone was very rude about trying to get me to get a full brake service, that I didn't need, like, "Oh, you won't listen to me huh? You'll be back, we'll make sure! See, I told you so." They will "fix" everything else and leave your main issue for last, they make more money that way. These guys think they're subtle, they're not. When I didn't go through with the brake change, I started getting a weird squeaking noise from driver's side tire, just that one side, and I never had issues before. Don't go there, especially if you have an older vehicle, they will hold your vehicle hostage, have things fix that aren't needed, and your car will have more problems, and things miraculously break when it was fine before. That Power Steering pump they said was leaking before(which it wasn't, because I check my fluids and I know), it's NOW actually leaking, it wasn't leaking before the repair(Even with a warranty I'm not going back, who knows what else will break). Even if they did anything to your car, it will be very hard to prove in court, and takes a lot of time and money(and they know it), and causes a lot of stress. These places rely on your car breaking to stay in business, they ARE NOT your friends. Some people may have good experiences, IF they like you. They may walk a gray line. They will talk nice and polite to you and pretend to be your friends, but don't take the risk, you can be the next...
