Have been stopping at the Dipper frequently each month since 2007. Each season new girls are smiling and eagerly take an order - always pleasant, cheerful and 99.9% right ! Yesterday 6/7/25 @ 2:06 pm older lady was at the window. The med. hot fundae, for daughter was great, but when l asked for a baby vanilla cone, l was asked if l meant a small cone - "no, l mean the cones people buy for their pet." This lady was visibly annoyed, so l said, ' "l should not eat ice cream", so she tried to tell me about oat milk, "no thanks, just the vanilla baby cone". The cone was given to me melting and the cone itself was cracked in 3 places at the top. Within 30 seconds , l would have had a handful of melted ice cream. Difficult when driving. I handed it back to the lady and asked nicely, for a cone that was not cracking with the ice cream oozing out. WOW, a lecture on how cones are delivered, costs up, etc! The second cone amazingly fine and in one piece! I can understand not seeing a tiny crack in a cone ( once or twice have received and did not ask for replacement) especially when new young girls working and really busy. But that was not the case yesterday. This lady ( the owner?) was so rude and nasty, obviously thinks an adult should not order and expect an intact baby/dog size cone! Beware ! Done...
Read moreYesterday I stopped by the Big Dipper and ordered a small Toft's Ice cream and a small soft serve totalling $4.25. I had just gotten a $50. bill at the Huntington atm and used it to pay. The girl gave me back change for only a $20. When I pointed out the error to her she said that I had only given her a twenty. I again informed her that that was incorrect. She then opened up her register and found my $50. She acknowledged her error and then gave me back another $22. I told her that was still incorrect and said it should have been $30. more, not $22. She seemed totally confused at this point as two more girls came to the window to help. They seemed confused too so I gave them all the money back and said to start over. I said $50. minus $4.25 is $45.75. For some reason that still didn't seem to add up to them, but they finally gave it to me.How can kids with such poor math skills attend expensive schools like Heidelberg and Tiffin University? When I drove off they seemed angry....
Read moreI came up to the window in the front when it was a bit busy in the drive through and ended up waiting 15 minutes for a small soft serve cone. I understand it being busy but it was a quite a bit of a wait when I watched cars ordering after me and getting their stuff before me! This isn’t a first I’ve had to wait a weird amount of time for something so small. Ice cream is good though here so it’s nothing against that just the weird priorities when it comes to who comes first drive v. window because it was very humid out the day this took place so I just wanted something small and cold then to...
