Bob Evans — Restaurant in Tiffin

Let me start from the beginning of how rude Jessica was. If there's more than one Jessica, she's the older and has some grey hair.

Anyways, we walk in and were greeted by a nice woman who was going to place us at a table. Crazy, but I prefer a booth, especially when there are several open around me. So I requested if we could sit at a booth. Ms. Jessica is saying no, no, that's not the right spot and having an attitude and then just says "fine whatever." I told them that I was willing to wait for a booth to be cleaned, no rush.

I go to the bathroom and the toilet will not stop flushing, like a good 5 minutes.

Onto the rest of the story, I finally get back to the table and it takes Jessica 10 minutes to get to us. She apparantly isn't even our waitress. When she showed up she has a very fake demeanor about her going on about chili fries for some reason. We order. I'm a vegetarian so I requested the grilled chicken Cobb salad without meat. The look. This lady gave me and the attitude and silence. I had to verbally say I'm a vegetarian for her to comprehend my request.

As she's leaving us she says some other girl is our waitress but she's helping out because the other girl is overwhelmed and eyed me down. Again with attitude.

We have been done with our meal now for 10 minutes with no sign of either waitress to give us our check. Apparantly if you request for different seating or a variation of a menu item they will just be rude and take it out on you.

Would I come back here? Only if I lived this in city and it was one of the few options. If there however was another Bob evans near by, trust that that's...

Our visit started with not having our drinks taken until we asked them to take them after 20 minutes because our server didn't know we were her table. There must be some behind the scenes miscommunication happening. This was especially troubling because at the time of our arrival, there were only a total of 6 tables sat. The drinks did not come did not come for another 10 minutes.

A gentleman, clearly not connected to Bob Evans, was going table to table selling chocolate "raising money for youth." I'm happy to support youth and may have even bought chocolate but not as table to table solicitation- offer it at checkout. I also have no way of verifying that it is an actual fundraiser and not a random guy with chocolate.

Our food took over an hour to arrive. No refills we offered over the hour we waited, in fact, we weren't spoken to at all. At one point my child went to ask for a new straw at the counter and was not acknowledged until an adult came to check on her. At the one hour and 3 minute we were told that our food was going on the grill at that time. Food finally came at 1 hour 11 minutes.

Lemon chicken was okay but was interestingly starting to cool off in spite of having gone on the grill 10 minutes earlier. The honey chicken was pretty terrible. I suspect they are trying to stretch the oil until the end of the night as it tasted like it was over used. The chicken was also pretty tough.

Overall, very disappointed in the visit and will likely not visit this...

I ordered a curbside order online, at the time of ordering it said pick up in 10 minutes. I ordered then it made me wait 40 minutes. I get there and park, call the number to let them know I’m outside waiting on my order. The lady was EXTREMELY rude when she answered the phone, I said I’m just calling to let you know I’m here for my curbside order, she said come in and get it due to high volume and hung up. I am sick (I’ve been puking my guts out all day).. I didn’t bring a mask in hopes I could just open my back hatch and get my kids food placed in the trunk and leave… then I get home and there isn’t French fries in one of the orders (when the receipt CLEARLY SHOWS HIGHLIGHTED “French fries no second side”) the burger was like a rubber burger in the other order. My 15 month old daughters chicken tenders were so BURNT I couldn’t even feed them those. I would call and ask for everything to be replaced but once again I am sick and DONT even want to leave my house let alone get out of my car.
