E41 Coffee & Burgers — Restaurant in Tifton

We are full-time RVers who while traveling around the US, are in search of the best cheeseburger and have a rating system: The Best (only 1 rated), Very Good, Good, OK, and Not Impressed. While staying in Wanee Lake Golf and RV Park in Aushburn, we drove 30 minutes into Tifton, GA, for lunch at Expresso 41 also known as E41. We’d searched best burgers in our area and E41 had the best Google ratings. E41 is a local burger cafe that serves local coffee plus breakfast and homemade burgers from a former gas station. You can pull up to order in a designated spot, go through their drive through or go inside this nostalgic diner. There are a few tables available inside where we ate lunch. We went online to check out their menu with a lot of meal options, and there’s also a menu at the order window. We both decided on The 41 Burger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and a squirt of 41 sauce (secret recipe). I had the handcrafted 8 oz patty done medium rare with seasoned fries. My wife got the 4 oz patty on her burger and onion rings. The burgers came on a fresh toasted bun. These are old fashioned style diner burgers, so you’ll need extra napkins. My thicker patty came med rare but hers was too thin to have much pink. We really couldn’t taste the 41 sauce but that didn’t matter. There’s a lot going on in these juicy burgers and they were Very Good. The shoestring seasoned fries were also Very Good. Their nicely battered onion rings with their own special sauce were Very Good as well. We had to ask if that was 41 sauce and were told it was onion ring sauce. Next time we’ll get an extra side of 41 sauce as we will be back. E41 easily falls into our top 10...

Found this place a few years ago on a trip to Tampa. We instantly fell in the love. The drinks and the food were incredible. Every time we go to Florida we stop on both the way down and the way back up. My pregnant wife saw a delicious looking Hawaiian burger on their Facebook yesterday and really craved it. While we live just south of Atlanta, we decided this place was so good it was worth the 2.5 hour drive. I even went as far as booking an Airbnb so I could help “justify” the trip. I looked on their website and verified they were open until 3. We arrived around 1:45. We brought our dogs and my pregnant wife desperately had to go to the bathroom so, I waited for her to finish before ordering. I go into the place just before 2. I needed a brief moment to look at the menu so the lady behind the counter helped some people in the drive though. I sat for several minutes while she made drinks. Eventually another employee came in and offered to help. I asked for 2 of the burgers and she responded the kitchen closes at 2. I pulled out my phone to look and it was 2:05. I explained we had just driven 2.5 hours from Atlanta specifically to come here for this burger and asked if she could help me out. Nope. I hate to leave a bad review on a small business but here we are. I'm not sure about the food yet as I just ordered an I am waiting on the food still but the service is not anything like I care to experience. I've been traveling from Tennessee to Florida and have been searching for somewhere we could stop and get coffee. I LOVE LOCAL COFFEE SHOPS! So I was desperate to find one. Over an hour ago on our drive I found this ship in route. I tried to call several times to order food Togo but they never answered. One phone call I made was 5 minutes before I walked in the door because I know they stop serving food at 7 and when I was estimated to arrive was 651 and I really didn't want to be that person but again they didn't answer after several attempts. When I came in I was greeted with glares from two women behind the counter. When I started my order one whispered "she's ordering food? What time is it?" Which the other responded the time which I was allowed to order as it was before 7. Since I could HEAR them, I responded I tried to call y'all several times but no one answered.
