I called in a togo order for meatloaf, fried chicken, collard greens, black eyed peas and mac&cheese. Theyâre very patient otp & when I arrived they had a buffet set up & were immediately preparing my plate. It was about $22 for two entrees, 3 sides, bread, dessert & a drink.
They gave me a generous amount of meatloaf and it was really good 9/10. Fried chicken tasted warmed up and not the freshest but not horrible 6/10. Bread shaped like a pancake & Iâd prefer cornbread but it was filling w not much flavor though 3/10. Macaroni kind of dry but the flavor was good & it was a small portion 6/10. Black eyed peas were ok not much flavor 5/10. Collard greens didnât have much seasoning but had a good texture 6/10.
I would recommend bringing some Popeyes Cajun sprinkles to set the sides off. I like my food more seasoned but for someone that dont like saltier food would probably love it. Iâd eat there again if in the area and would just get meatloaf, Mac & cheese (since I add hot sauce for moisture anyways) & collards.
Also, I donât really do desert but I got banana pudding and Iâm just going to give it to my kids if they want it...
Read moreI come tru this location last Thursday traveling on June 15th. This is the best soul food in the area. Iâm a foodie, have visited many places here. They TOP them all. Itâs an honor to write this review. Food was very delicious me had to double back for another plate yea. It was exceptionally delicious and well worth the money. I had 2 different orders; they both were finger licking good. My people in Tifton, please take a drive to get your bellies full; you can tell itâs cooked with love. YOU MOST DEFINITELY WILL ENJOY. They are very professional, clean, mostly humble, and have an A grade on the health report card. Please support this restaurant. I reiterate, you wonât be disappointed. Looking forward to...
Read moreEasy to find, large parking area, no menu prices listed, but great value for the price (1 meat, 3 sides, hot water cornbread, dessert and a house made beverage - iced tea, lemonade, arnold palmer or water for less than $16 excluding tip). I chose fried chicken (golden fried and nicely seasoned), macaroni and cheese (no seasoning at all), candied yams (perfect sweetness but no flavor) and cabbage (steamed with a tiny pinch of salt, but still no real flavor).
Overall, it wasn't the bad, but I doubt I'd go again.
SN: The older cashier lady was extremely pleasant!
