First off let me say that I always deal with Denise. I have no problems with her or her customer service. She gets five ⭐. The problem lies elsewhere. I don't know if it's the lack of managerial skills or if this company just does not care. I digress. On to the problem, I purchased the "in-store insurance" on a chair, which, is my mistake. The mechanism is toast and I've been waiting a month for their guy, who by the way is not even in Tifton, to repair it. Actually it's six weeks. It took two weeks for him to even come look at the chair, then another three weeks for them to get the mechanism. Now, I'm waiting for this guy to come to Tifton, pick up the mechanism and then repair my chair. Even though I have worked at a furniture store and replacing mechanisms is part of what I did, replacing it myself voids the insurance. What gives? It's like this, someone hit my parked vehicle. It needed new doors, fender and repaint. All of this was done inside of a week and half. That's from the day of the collision to complete repair. That's on a vehicle, this is a simple chair mechanism. My point is, maybe, they need someone more dependable to do their "in-house" insurance work. After this experience I will be shopping for furniture elsewhere.
Update 12-13-2024 Sammy came to my house today to "repair my recliner" First, he was early, which I guess is good, without even letting me know he would be early. Second, he did not use all new parts. Third, he did not put the chair back together correctly or completely. I have spoken with a regional manager. The chair will be replaced. That's not the point of this update. Seven weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for his shoddy work. A six year old could have done a better job. Sammy is doing warranty/insurance work. Only someone certified can do it as to not void said coverage. I would be really surprised to find out that he is certified. If he is certified then he needs to be recertified. They are replacing this chair to "keep my business" but as stated beforehand, I'm done with Farmers Furniture. God only knows how long this will take. The way things are going, It will probably be after the first of the year. I will update again at...
Read moreBetter train your financing Management. Lisa Tatum . Tifton store. I was called on two different accessions (October-2021 & September 22) asking to add on to my account. Both times I did so both times I received a phone call from Ms. Tatum asking me to come in and make a payment. Please understand that my payment wasn’t due for several months. She refused to do the work and look before calling me. If she would have only communicated with the computer or the sales associate all calls and problems could have been avoided. Due to her incompetence on 9/20, and non-communication on 9/14 the product that I add to my account on 9/8 was never delivered. Nor was I notified of this until 9/20 when I went into the office after waiting several hours for a return call. Ms Tatum was a very good SALES ASSOCIATE BUT has awful management skills. As I have explained this wasn’t the first time she has messed up my account. I over looked this mess up in October of 2021 but I just can’t this time. If she has done this to me than how many other customers this behavior has been done to.
I am a sales consultant/ therefore I understand the lines of miss communication. But twice, if a customer has been in your office once with an issue, it seems as though you would try to avoid said issues again.
Please understand the rest of the team is amazing but Ms. Tatum needs to be better trained or placed back out on the...
Read moreVery DISAPPOINTING service. We planned delivery 2 weeks ago. They confirmed delivery. Then on the day of delivery they CANCEL and the ensure that they will deliver it the next day. The next day arrives, they get a "flat" at 3pm in the afternoon. They only notify me at the exact time of delivery [330pm].
I called the "manager" [Chris] and he specifically stated that the "girls" overbooked the initial day. He reported that the "girls" knowingly overbooked just to appease the customer at the moment to close the deal.
Then the manager [Chris] said the ONLY way to get it today is to pick it up myself.
The flat tire was already changed and fixed and they still would not deliver it [and this at 330pm]. The manager [Chris] said "my guys only get paid when delivered and they can't work overtime."
So, the manager [Chris], admitted that Farmers Home Furniture intentionally lied about the original delivery date. Then Chris the manager shared that Farmers Home Furniture do not value their customers because they do not want to pay their employees to deliver something they promised. Garbage in, Garbage out.
The issues are obvious and this is a pure reflection of Farmers Home Furniture of Tifton, GA.
